  4. GD, thanks for the post. BTW, how is Bobby now that he is fully rested from his cruises? He missed Milo so much. He won't tell you that though.

  5. Bobby was a pain in the behind last night. He and Mi fought and chased on and off all night. Mi even got a fat tail! Bad boys! I'm glad he missed Mi, though!

  6. I know - I got buzzed about that at work. I just loved him. First Bea Arthur now him. Where is all the 'funny' going? RIP Dom.

LOL @ Mi-Mi with the fat tail.

2B his sons are talented. And cute too, not that there's anything wrong with that.

  10. It's like the sixties and seventies are being swept up and thrown away. What's next: the eighties?

  13. I am so sad to hear that! He was a gem! We are certainly losing some good performers lately. I guess Heaven was getting a little boring and it needed some spicing up!

  14. When I was a "latchkey" kid, I would watch Mike Douglas every afternoon after school...I loved when Dom Deluise was a guest...and Totie Fields! They both cracked me up.

And I loved the commercial for Glad bags (I think it was Glad) that Dom Deluise did a few years back.

  15. OMG Totie Fields!! I had forgotten all about her. We used to laugh just because we thought her NAME was funny - lol.

  16. I think it was Glad bags, he was great! Well he was really great in whatever he did!

  17. I remember one of the funniest episodes when Totie Fields was on Mike Douglas. Remember how he would have one celebrity on per week as a guest co-host? Totie was his guest host for the week...and she always cracked me up. On one episode that she was co-hosting, Loretta Swit from M.A.S.H. was a guest. She was not wearing a bra under her sweater. While Mike Douglas was talking to Loretta Swit, Totie was looking at the audience and kept pantomiming for the audience to look at Loretta's boobs to get them to notice that she (Loretta) was not wearing a bra. After a bit, Mike said, "Totie, what are you doing?" And Totie said, "She is not wearing a bra!" Mike said, "Are you wearing a bra, Totie?" And she said, "I'm wearing THREE of them!" HAHAHA! I rememeber one episode where Totie and Mike fell in a tumble together off of their stools...funny as hell!

  18. Very sad to read of his passing, he has had me LOL many times over the years, and his very cute sons are great too.
Only three days ago Meegz came home after visiting a friend and told me the friend has a cat that looks exactly like Dom. Spooky coincidence.

  19. We seem to mourn deaths by remembering the dearly departeds' lives. Prior generations seemed to just wail and caterwaul while bemoaning the dearly departed ones' demises. Has there been a social shift away from sadness over death to praising the lives of those who have gone before us?

  20. A wonderful entertainer who will be very much missed in this lady's life. He was a good man. And Dee, I remember the joy that Totie Fields gave me. What a woman and so ahead of her time! Just think of those she could give a run for their money today. Miss them both.

  21. Totie Fields. Just hearing her name I can still hear her voice! Yes she was indeed ahead of her time.
