Morning all! I thought I would get this started as I think CM is a tad "busy" today with her crunchy stiff carpet! Today we are having a full buffet with all the goods! Since CM couldn't get in early to start we are having a Panera catered breakfast. Mostly pastries and some egg sandwiches. Coffee/Tea/Milk/Juices are also onboard for your morning! How are you all today? My head is killing me and my neck is stiff. I am sure it had nothing to do with the way the girls were laying last nite and I didn't move and disturb their precious sleepy time! :D Good Morning and Welcome to the better side of the week!

Good morning MC, I see you are also a considerate sleeper, unlike the girls. No nibbles for me as I'm just heading off to bed now. I'm looking forward to my nice warm bed as the night is a bit chilly. Shadz has come in from hunting mice, slurped up a bowl of warm milk(I'm a push over)and is now asleep on her back in the bean bag.
Hope you can work the wrinkles out of your neck and it is trouble free for the rest of the day.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

I would love to see Shadz sound asleep in the bean bag chair. Hope she snuggles with you later!

I'll have to take a photo of her and make it my avatar. If the wood on the fire burns down too quickly Shadz will come up and sneak into the bed and I'll find myself sleeping on the edge of the bed, usually with my rear end suddenly coverless and chilly. Do I move her over? No way. You know what I mean.
Goodnight/morning, off to bed now. Have a good day MC.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Night, MS, sorry I missed you, I had to work late tonight...
Hi, Deb, MC, Siobhan and CM. Molly, sorry to hear your head is bad again today. How are you today, Siobhan, CM and Deb? CM, have I missed something, why do you have a crunchy stiff carpet?
Ah, okay, I just found that thread...

Hello! Sorry to hear that you're now dealing with neck pain as well as the headache, MC. I hear you about sleeping so as not to disturb the "sleepers."
Siobhan, hope your migraine is something of the past for today.
CM, how are you doing this morning?
Good night to those leaving for their beds. There are days I wish I were going to bed instead of getting up.Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

Yup, doing better today. I actually have a funny story about this migraine. Tansey woke me up around 4am, getting up on the bed. That's unusual, she doesn't normally get on the bed during the night. I noticed she was there, and I rose up to meet her. She had somehow gotten stuck inside a baseball cap! She got her head and her left front leg stuck in the open, adjustable area at the back of the cap, and she was really stuck. I had to work a bit to get her out, and she didn't wiggle or holler (good girl).
Then I got my migraine medication and came back to bed. Tansey was still there, so I picked her up and she didn't resist. She cuddled with me, her head on the pillow facing me, purring up a storm (Thank-You purr) and kneading my hair. She would PUSH her face into my hand for petting. She was there a good fifteen minutes, and it was very soothing and calming. My migraine didn't get as bad as they normally get, I chalk that up to Tansey's early wake-up warning. I was -really- gritting my teeth when she woke me up, I know that was what started my migraine. I could feel myself relaxing as she purred and I petted.

Hi everyone! It was a dark and stormy night last night. Leela only plays with her stuffed lion friend Larry once in a while these days, but it seems she sees him as a protector. I found him on the floor at the foot of my side of the bed this morning. Then, when I got out of the shower, there was Larry in the bathroom!
Didn't have the mexican dinner I anticipated. Hubby didn't get home till late so he just picked up a pizza. Probably a good thing, since I bought some margarita mix to go with salsa chicken wraps I was going to make. We'll celebrate cinco de mayo on Friday night, when I can have a couple of drinks and not have to go to work the next day!
Have a great day all!Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

I hear you jcat about not wanting to work early. I have to say though..the older I have gotten the more of a morning person I have become. In my 20's..the later working the better..now..work early, get done early and bed...well there is no bed with children...lol
Siobhan...awww Tansey...she loves her mommy. She made you feel better and I have to chuckle at the thought of her in that baseball cap!Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Awwww Tansey knew you needed the reassurance and she was also thanking you for saving her from the annoying hat issue.

Tansey was also 'busy' when we were out of town. Seems she got ahold of a package of treats and tore some holes in it. So our catsitter put it inside a ziploc bag, thinking it would be safe.
Oh no. It wasn't.
When we got home on Sunday, here was this ziploc bag holding the torn bag of treats, on the floor in front of the refrigerator, torn open, with treats scattered on the floor.
Little stinker!

Cats' ingenuity knows no bounds where food is involved. My lovely Max was not the brightest boy, much as I loved him, but when it came to new ways to get hold of the box of cat biscuits we'd tried to hide/put out of reach, he was a positive Einstein.
You gotta love 'em.
Aww, Joan, doesn't Leela hide Larry under your pillow any more? She must be growing up...
-
Hehe - ziploc bags are no match for crafty Tansey!
Leela seems concerned about where to keep Larry, since we have a second floor now...Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

hmmm...we need to find Larry a little hidey hole in the house....

Good morning, all!
What is it with 4:30am that makes Bobby wake up and walk around howling????Arrrrrgh! EVERY night!
I'm busy on the computer trying to find one more person to play on Friday as well as dealing with my tennis team and the membership at the new club we're moving to in September. Tehy want all the membership money up front on June 1st though we don't start til the end of September. Every other club I know, they break up the payment to at least two payments. So now I'm trying to figure out what to do. The club says they'll give away our spots on the team we we don't pay on time. I'm either getting the whole team together and trying to tell the club it's not possible for us in this economy to pay the whole membership all at once. Or I'll have to look into transferring the team as a whole to another club. Pain in the neck and I don't know why I always get stuck with these things!!!
I'm going to go play tennis with XBF in an hour - hopefully that'll get my mind off things!
