Hello TDK family! Abbey and I made it home. It was 90 degrees when we landed in Houston. 56 in Paris-90 in Houston! Our vacation was so wonderful. One of the best highlights was the UK meet up. I miss those ladies. We had such a great time. The boys are so glad to have me home. Wilbur is great and T-Do is...well T-Do and wanting to be loved lots! Abbey was greeted by George, Nicky and Nora and they are sticking like glue to her. I do have a bit of news. It looks like Ms. Kitty, my very smart, long time feral has gifted me with 2 siamese babies! She waited until last night. I did not see her when we got home and was worried about her. Well, this morning she came in and her tail was a little wet and i thought hummmmm. Late this afternoon I went into the backyard and found her hiding place. I could only see two and they looked white with tiny darker ears. I am so excited! It looks like I have 2 new additions to my family. The only thing that would make this better is if I could catch the crafty girl and get her fixed. I will wait a bit before I approach to take some pictures. I don't want to spook her and have her move them. What in the world could be better than coming home and finding new babies the next day. I forget how tiny they are.
We had a fantastic time in Paris. The people were so nice and our apartment was perfect. We walked everywhere and the city is so beautiful. Different than London but still really pretty. Can't sort out my sleeping yet but I'm sure that will take a few days. Work tomorrow when I will find out how much I have to do to catch up. Love you guys and big hugs to all. Abbey says to say hello to the "awesome UK TDK ladies".

Welcome home! So glad that you had a lovely trip and a safe return home ...to new babies, congrats.
Now rest up and get that bio clock back on track. I was surprised how jet lag really affected me.Posted 2 years ago by Tigerlilly #

I had no problem in London or Paris from jet lag at all. Abbey slept for an entire day in London and again in Paris but I did not notice any difference at all. I wonder why it is effecting me now that i am home. Perhaps my brain is so tired I can't figure it out. I think I might take part of the day off tomorrow. Does jet lag include a headache and a bit of an upset stomach? Ugh!

It also makes a difference whether you're flying east-west/west-east or north-south/south-north, ahead of the clock/turning back the clock, but I can never remember which ways are worse...
Isn't Paris beautiful? I miss it so much. That soft light, the blue-grey zinc roofs and the creamy sandstone buildings...

Hey folks! Can you believe it...I am so tired and not sleeping from jet lag. I went to work today and began to get really cold around 2. I thought it was just because of lack of sleep and jet lag. Anyway, I started feeling really bad and left around 4 pm. Went to the store for some few groceries and was feeling really bad. When i got home I decided to take my temp just to make sure that I was not sick. 102.4 degrees! I guess I am sick. Yuk! No symptoms of swine flu just fever and headache. No work for me tomorrow. I will be home with the boys. I think that Miss Kitty had only 2 babies. They look like siamese, cream with tiny dark ears. I am so excited. They will be mine and inside kitties when the time is right. I still don't want to get too close because Ms. Kitty is pretty nervous. I always wanted a Ragdoll but the way I figure it is why should I pay 1,000 for a kitty when I have 2 in my back yard??? I'm thrilled. If I can figure out how to get pictures on my computer and Ms. Kitty will let me get close enough I will send some photos. 2 babies only 2 days old. How wonderful.

Get lots of good rest, Puddytat. The trip back alone would make you so tired, but if you might have picked up a bug, even worse. Just stay in bed, drink lots of liquids, and take OTC med's for fever, if you can.
Aren't the UK bunch just too much fun?

Hi Puddytat! Glad to hear you made it home safely! Paris sounds like it was wonderful. I can imagine the shock you had when you landed back in Houston and 90 degree temps!
Jet lag is the pits! I never know how it will affect me. Sometimes it hits like a ton of bricks when I head west, and sometimes it hits me when I head east. Sometimes it seems like I am hardly affected at all. And then to come down with some kind of bug when you get home really tops it off! I have often come down with something awful after flying. I have started taking Airborne before I fly. I don't know if it has actually helped, or if I've just been lucky but I haven't caught anything during a flight since I started using it *furiously starts knocking wood*
Well - the main thing now is to get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids and get in lots of snuggle time with the kits. I can't wait to see photos of your new babies - they sound adorable!
