  1. I was being nosy and got too close to the stove so burnt the ends of the whiskers on one side of my face :(

They are curled inwards, do I just leave them and wait for them to grow out?

  3. they will uncurl with time. One of my cats did that and almost lost all of hers, but they are uncurled now.

  5. Depends on how badly they curled. My kitty took a few months, so it will take a while. We started calling her no whisker cause it looked like she didnt have any!

  6. Whiskers grow all the time, like hair. Sometimes you find them lying around on the floor. They will slowly grow back and the curled ends will either uncurl or wear off. Silly kitty.

  7. Ouch!!! But maybe you will learn not to get too close to those hot things!

  8. Basil set himself on fire once...got too close to a candle and singed his side and his whiskers. Stoopid cat... Baz was mentally 'special'. Not very bright, peed everywhere, but he sure was a lover.

I was sitting at my computer, smelled burnt hair, and then noticed Basil making a beeline OUT of the living room. I checked him and yupper...singed his side and whiskers. Sigh. He didn't do that again.

My husband used to have a small tuft of hair in the middle of his forehead. He leaned over a candle one time to reach something and the tuft caught fire. I did the first thing that came to my mind...I slapped his forehead with the flat of my palm. He was so astonished..the look on his face was priceless. He thought I was lying about his hair catching fire until he smelled the unmistakable odor of burning hair.
