I have wanted to do this nite shift for a while! A pie party! All types of pies, fruit pies, cream pies, cheesecake, and pudding pies! With whipped cream and without! With or without fruit toppings! With or without ice cream! Please come in and have a BIG slice of pie. The kits will even warm it up for you if you desire! Then they want to snuggle with you and get themselves some lovin'! We have coffe to go with the pie and a full stocked bar! Welcome!

Well, thank you MC for starting night shift! You have set up the food and drinks very well! I am grabbing a beer and waiting to see who shows up. The babies are running through the room and I have a black and white here who seems to be hanging around.

Got a call from ex sil, ex is still in hospital, waiting for a nursing home to be transfered to. Son is wanting her to do things, she doesn't have time to do and dealing with the family problems, she was at her wits end. Tried to calm her down and tell her, you only take on what you can and let the rest go. Son is old enough to take care of his business and should not be your responsibility. Do all kids and family members do this?? Seems to be the norm here??

West Coast still wide awake here. The howling of the wind is intense tonight. It was blowing so hard this afternoon that I could hear things skittering across the roof and the big bushes next door were thumping against the edge of our roof.
I love a windy day, but not in fire season. God help all those in Santa Barbara who lost their homes this week and God bless all the firefighters, smokeaters and camp crews who are trying to shut this fire down.

How was your day?
I spent six hours at the office, subbing for my boss who's in the hospital for a few days. It's been five years since I did any of this and I feel like an ignoramus. She's been editing and writing reports for over ten years and is so much better at it. All I can do is try to keep the work flowing. So far, no complaints and she's supposed (keeping fingers crossed) to be back on Tuesday. But no one's heard from her yet.

I had a pretty slow day today which is fine with me! Gave me a chance to catch up with the work and catch my breath. lol
I'm sure your boss will be grateful that you stepped in and kept the work flowing. This will come back to you just like riding a bike! :)

It's 11.10pm NZ time, ...the night is chilly in NZ and cool to warm in USA with Old Man Winter on the out..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes gratis AZDEBRA, LV, & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...
check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Boxcheck - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light,healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there!
