I have 3 kittens who are 5 weeks old, they are already eating kitten food somewhat, but they still nurse. I was going to try to start working with them on the litter box, are they too young? Should I let the momma use their litter box? Also, they eat the cat litter, and that has me worried. Please give me any advice you can, PLEASE!!!

Don't use clumping litter until they are old enough to stop eating it. If you are worried about using litter, try shredded newspaper. Make sure you don't get anything that's perfumed; it smells good to you, it stinks to a cat.
Whatever litter you use now, when (if) you start to switch to clumping, change it a little at a time by adding the new litter to the existing litter. Sometimes a sudden change in litter results in the cat finding a new (and inappropriate) spot to poop in.
So far as letting mama cat use the same box, they will probably get trained faster if they see mama using the box. If they were wild kittens, mama would be taking them to the same places she used.

The dollar tree sells the perfect litter. It is all natural non clumping. My kitten loved it. And, at only 1 buck, you can't beat that!

Avoid clumping litter, they can swallow it and get a blockage. They should still nurse some at 5 weeks--Mama will let them know when to stop in no uncertain terms! She will take care of litter-box training.
