Happy Friday and Welcome to the Weekend! Business is usually slow on Fridays so we have snacks and anything you could want from the grill. We have a nice orangie tending the grill and he will make whatever you want. A beautiful meezer is tending bar (fully stocked) and we have the windows open and tables set up on the patio. Kits running all around, in and out! Looking for hoomins to love! Please stop in and say hello!

I'd love to hang out here but I need to write up an offer! I'm hoping this house isn't already under contract. I called, emailed and texted the listing agent trying to find out and he never answered. I don't want to waste 1 1/2 hours of time filling out paperwork if it is all for naught.

Well, this was Mr. WWM's night to cook. He planned it all, we went grocery shopping. Then a friend and neighbor emailed him. Mr. WWM said "come for drinks". Which of course translated as "Stay for dinner". So, although he grilled, I ended up with dishes, etc. But it was a nice, spontaneous dinner party.

Pork shish-k-bobs ( I have NO idea how to spell that!) with sweet Texas onions, mushrooms and red peppers; grilled pineapple with smoky paprika (my input); grilled asparagus wrapped in bacon. Then steamed rice and Caesar salad. Blue Bell coffee ice cream and port for dessert.
But I had to do the dishes! :-(

Hi, KW! I haven't had a chance to talk to you much lately! With us being gone and then, I have been so tired this week. Last night I went to bed around 8:15! I just didn't feel very well and thought it would be good to have an early night.
I'm working on a bug jar baby quilt. Should hopefully have it ready to quilt by tomorrow because I lack only the borders. I'll take a pix when it's done.

Honestly, they ate everything down to the glaze on the plates. I was so worried that we didn't have enough, but we didn't exactly plan on company! The one thing that reassures me is knowing that she doesn't cook and he usually has only cheese and crackers for dinner. So this had to be a step up!

Oh, did I forget to tell you, KW? Yeah, he finally got it but it took me sending him an email; he put his adjutant on the job and the lawyers (sorry) finally decided to release the quilt. He called and loved it! I have kept his message on our answering machine just because it's not every day that the Comm calls us!

KW, he truly seemed to love the quilt and said that he knew it was a family heirloom. It is a wonderful thing to make something like that and give it to someone who appreciates the effort. I have given so many quilts to my family that I think they all think, "Oh great. Another quilt."

Having taken a stab at quilting, I would NEVER take the gift of one lightly. Each one is truly a labor of love. It seems like more people are quilting these days, or maybe I'm just noticing it for the first time.

Well, y'all - it's sort of early but I think that I am going to go and get ready for bed. It sort of scared me, but I haven't felt well at all this week and almost felt like it was a cardiac something or other. Today I have felt better but I was awfully careful at the gym to not let my heart rate go too high.
I need to quit reading those medical articles!
Have a wonderful evening, Everyone. And tomorrow is Saturday!! AND - a cold front is supposed to move in through here. Today the high was 107 (yep, honestly) but tomorrow the high is supposed to be around 71. If that is true, I plan to get out in the yard and do some weeding, etc. A break from the heat would be so welcomed!
