It's time for lunch here and I see no café open yet. It's a glorious day, so mimosas on the lawn, coffee (of course) tea, scones (whipped cream, clotted cream, jam butter) and whatever else you heart desires is here for you.

It's not Mothers Day here. We have our Mothering Sunday in the middle of Lent, this year it was 21st March. I love Mothering Sunday and darling daughter drove all the way from Bangor to spend it with me. :-)

Aw, I am glad you had a great Mothering Day. My daug and SIL are driving down from Jacksonville to have dinner with us. I know what you mean ;)

Is Jacksonville far? Bangor is 4 - 5 hours away depending on traffic.
I hope you have a great time together.

Hi GD - here, have a mimosa - it's a TDK cure-all. Very good for "don't feel like it itis"

it is about 86 miles. To me it is very near. It could be New York State which is 12 hrs. She moved to be near us about 4 years ago. What a sweetie. She just acquired her first cat and is in love. SIL likes Tigerlilly too. He has always been a 'dog guy' till he met Sammy & Oliver.

Yes 86 miles isn't too bad at all. Bangor's about 250, some of it on narrow country roads which always slows you down. Mind you the motorways usually cause the most trouble. If the M1, the M6 or the A55 North Wales expressway are snarled up it can add hours to the an already long journey.

Good Morning everyone, Good Afternoon PM.
Just enjoying a lazy day here. Maddie is still at grandma's...Abbie just ate and is on the floor playing..Hubbs is going to fix me some french toast and I get to relax today. I plan to watch the second season of The Tudors. I love that show. I adore anything about English history especially that era and with Elizabeth I, so I am in heaven. :)
Happy Mother's Day to everyone :)Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Morning, all!
Ooh, scones with clotted cream and jam, yum! Thanks, PM.
In case anyone missed my post yesterday, Georgie passed his vet visit with flying colors, and was super well-behaved to boot. That didn't last long, as the little stinker managed to get 2 breakfasts this morning by pulling the "I'm starving, feed me!" routine. I was still half asleep and didn't realize that hubby had already fed George before he left for tennis. So, no crunchies today, he's had double wet food already.
Beautiful sunny day here, hope other folks are enjoying the same.

Good morning, and afternoon, Everyone. And Happy Mother's Day! My girls apparently don't quite understand Mother's Day, as they once again failed to bring me breakfast in bed.
We are doing a 17 mile bike ride this afternoon in memory of fallen police officers. Mr. WWM keeps reassuring me that it's "not a race". He had better be right because I ride a hybrid bike, not a road bike. But the paper described it as an "easy paced 17 mile ride with police escort". It should be fun. And happily, it's much cooler today so we won't be riding in 100 degree heat.
Scones? I adore scones!

Just off to Evensong now, (ordinary, not choral) I'll be back in about 2 hours. I'll leave the scones on the sideboard so that you can help yourselves.
