  7. I am checking ticket prices for the September-in-Austin MCW/Lisa Tour. This one just may be very do-able. I am so excited!

  8. For the NYC get-together, we could go to the pub where Mr. K and I met, or would you be looking to do anything except pub food, MCW? (they do good food, and they're pudding selection is pretty good, if not as extensive as Porter's).

  9. Pudding? Did someone say pudding? :o)

That would be fine Kilroy (in case you hadn't guessed, you're NYC co-ordinator!)

Is your head any better today?

Posted 3 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  10. Fractionally, thanks for asking. The problemm on Monday was that my head was bad enough to make me take a pill at about 1:30 am, and then the stupid thing only did half it's job - it stupefied me without getting rid of the headache
:( When I got up 5 hours later and realized I was still loopy and still hurting I waved the white flag and went back to bed. My co-workers on Tuesday all said they figured I must have been dying, since I *never* miss work.

  12. Emma might be coming to Texas?

Posted 3 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  13. Yup. Need to clear the vacation days and check ticket prices, but barring tragedies it looks like a "go." I am so excited!

  14. No fair!! I want to meet Emma too...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :D
If I could I would fly down to Texas too. That would be so fun!

  15. Oh, please see if you can! It would be such fun, CM -- we could all hold Fishie and hug Maddie and just sit and talk -- the loveliest time.

  19. Betty, is there any chance?!?

Posted 3 years ago by Emma #

  20. With all y'all there? I will absolutely try my very best to get there. I have a cousin that lives in Austin that I've been needing to go and visit.

  21. I've been looking at new apts. today...all I could think about was hmmmm....how many TDKers would fit in *this* new living room?

Posted 3 years ago by lisaeylau #

  22. Packed very carefully, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....!

  23. I would love to join the Austin group, but will be back in the classroom in September... MCW, on your next trip you need to do a southeastern swing - you can't miss party-town New Orleans! The locals are so ... unique... that TDKers at their most rowdy would probably not turn a head! Even Brad and Angelina are just regular people down here!

  24. Aw, sweetie, I know what you mean. I grew up in Shreveport, lived in Baton Rouge for 14 years, and then moved to Raleigh, NC and relocated to Pennsylvania 11 years ago.

When I lived in Baton Rouge, we went to Nawlins so often that I thought the "Welcome to NO" sign should have included my name. Love that mad place!

  25. Tomorrow is Tulane's graduation (the "Katrina class" who showed up for orientation and were told to go home for a few days....). Ellen DeGeneres is the speaker - she should be a HOOT! when she did a cameo in the '06 ceremony post-Katrina she came on stage in a hotel bathrobe, quipping "they said everyone would be in their robes..." My daughter just graduated HS yesterday, heading to Tulane in the fall, and Sunday evening we are dining with friends as Commanders Palace to celebrate. The town will be rockin' this weekend!

  26. I'll do my best NM! You all need to live in a smaller country, the USA is so damn BIG!!!
