Another newbie saying hi! I'm Anne. We adopted Pixie from a breeder when she was about 10 weeks old, as a special birthday gift for our daughter. She's now just over 5 months and a total sweetheart. Even my "not a cat person" hubby loves her, although he'd never admit it. :)

Hiya, welcome to the litter! We are a bunch of crazy cat people here and we love new babies! Please post a pix when you can! Whay type of kitten did you get? How is she adjusting to life with you? Willowandwindismom, thanks! Actually, I was really, really wishing I had a helper. She wasn't cooperating with me much at all. I put her in place, backed up and grabbed my camera, and usually got off one or two clicks before she jumped down or started checking other things out. It was a lot of repeatedly putting her back where I wanted her, and trying to time my clicks with when she looked the right way!

Okay I am curious? Is she a tonk or maybe an apple head siamese? Hehehhe! I am sure she will be a dainty little sweetie!
Especially compared to my baby Max who just turned a year old in april and topped in at 14 pounds on march 31st! June I will get another weigh in hahaha! No worries though he's not fat he's jsut abig mainecoon boy hehheh!

Thanks everyone! Momma to 2 Mainecoons, yes - she's a Tonk. :) I've actually been somewhat concerned about her size, because I think she's on the small side even for a Tonk, but the vet doesn't seem concerned. I actually asked about it when I called them today to ask about when to spay her (one vet she saw said she was too little to spay, but they aren't our primary vet, so I wanted to call him to get a second opinion). Our vet said they work with much smaller dogs all the time (baby Chihuahuas, for example) so she's just fine to have the surgery now, and they scheduled her for tomorrow! So, yikes... baby Pixie is headed in for surgery in the am! :+S I'm worried about her, of course, but our vet is really loving and caring towards her, so rationally, I know she'll be fine.

Heheheh! Pixiesmama I knew she was a tonk hehehe! she is beautiful! I am still trying to decide on her color though heheh! chocolate, seal or maybe even the cinnimony color hehhehe! I am betting once she gets older she will have beautiful aqua eyes! Yes tonks tend to be small but usually very spirited and strong hehehe! I will say a prayer tonight for a quick clean and easy snip snip! and Psst! Spay and vets we call a Spa visit heheheh!
