Hi everyone! Betty and Wilma wanted to get the NS started as it has been kinda slow lately. The NS kitties are running all over the place, they are ready to play. I have pulled toys out of their toy box and they are having the time of their life. Cracked open the window to let in fruesh air. Tables are still set with linen clothes from the cafe' this morning. Tulips and carnations are adorning the tables. Tonite we have the chocolate fountain and all sorts of goodies for dipping in the fountain. We have fondue with little bread cubes for your pleasure. We also have mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, nachos, deep fried okra/green beans/mac-n-cheese/zucchini, spinach artichoke dip with chips/bread, chips/dip, pretzels and mustard and cupcakes. Come in and have a snack before the work week starts. Welcome!

I planted gerbera daisies, geraniums, and pansies. My whiskey barrels are full, well they will be when they grow out some. I planted the geraniums and pansies in the barrels. I put the daisies in the planter by the mail box. I haven't planted my hanging baskets this year. I had snap dragons last year. Sherlock came out and helped me. He is the love of the neighborhood.

Awww, Sherlock is obviously a sweetie pie! Sounds like you had a busy day! How is the family!?

Evening, Everyone! Thinking about all of you mom's and wishing you the best day ever. And, thinking about my own mommy. Yep, I was 50 when she was killed, but she was and always will be "Mommy" to me. For every angry word that might be exchanged between mothers and daughters, I would caution the daughters. The day will come when you just would give anything to hear your mom's voice - no matter what she was saying. The very last time that I spoke to my mom was Mother's Day, 1997. The next day my folks left on what should have been the happiest trip. Only she never came back. So, to all - have a care. Mom's are so special and they cannot be replaced.
MC, you are SO much on my mind. I have no fingernails left!

I know, CM. You and 2P have been really on my mind today. I think that we all know, from painful experience, how much you miss your mom. Sometimes it scares me. I can close my eyes and see her face. But I am beginning to be afraid that I cannot hear her voice. And yet, I know that she speaks to me all of the time.

Hi, OH, CM, WWM, MC, SM and CTR!
Had a wonderful dinner prepared by hubby. Both kids and their beloveds joined us. After dinner went to AL82 and son's house to meet their new kitten, Nilla. She is very tiny and very sweet. :)

Goodnight, CM. Sweet dreams! I'm glad you had a relaxing Mother's Day. :)
I agree with you, WWM. Any meal I don't have to cook is a great meal. :D
We had a pork based Mexican stew over brown rice, chicken enchiladas and a wonderful cake for dessert--lemon burst flavor. Yummy!Posted 2 years ago by Kitten Whisperer #

Wow - that sounds yummy! Of course the very word enchilada.....

We have lots of leftovers, WWM. Come on over for dinner tomorrow night! ;)

Evenin', all! Speaking of enchiladas, I have enough leftovers for at least 2 meals. My strategy is to eat a lot of chips and tortillas and save the 'real' food for later. :)

Okay, now I am craving enchiladas! ACK!!!! We had salmon - that is a poor substitute for enchiladas!

Hi, FH!
WWM, salmon is very good too!!

Well, after 17 miles in a bike saddle today, and a wimpy dinner of salmon, I guess that I am off to think about tomorrow. And how exciting can it get - it's housecleaning day!!!! Yippee - I simply cannot get enough of pushing a dust rag around! Especially in these 100 degree plus days with wind. Now THIS is why I went to college. I know that my folks must be so proud.
Have a great evening, Everyone!

Too bad there's not an Uncle Julio's in Midland, WWM. Their cheese/onion enchiladas are soooooooo good. We don't even bother reading their menu anymore! They just opened a location in Boca, so I wonder if Charlotte has tried them yet?

Hi KW! Are you an enchilada fan, too?

You are funny, WWM! Sleep well. I hope Hazel shows up tomorrow to help, but don't hold your breath. :)
I'm going to head out too. Sweet dreams, all!

Yes, FH. I like enchilada's but the Mexican stew was outstanding. It was at the top end of my heat tolerance. So tasty! lol

Evening all, we've been having odd weather toda in my city. We had a thunder storm this morning and some areas got so much hail that there has been serious flooding and a large shopping centre has been evacuated. Also have heard it may have been hit by a mini tornado but nothing confirmed yet. Now the sun is shining and everything is steaming, but the temperature outside is still pretty chilly. i have a large pot of soup cooking gently on top of my fireplace. I can't stay as I have to help Mum take her old cat Mitzi to the vet, she has a lump on top of her head that she has bumped and caused to bleed. Mitzi is 20 years old.
