I found Kiwee a great home about 2 weeks ago, through Craigs list. Here is an email update on her.
First off, Happy mothers day!
Just wanted to send you a little note to let you know how Kiwee was doing. She has adjusted quite well and she's a wonderful kitty. She's currently climbing all over me as I type. I bought her a super brush and I swear I have brushed out enough fur to build another cat lol. She let me cut out most of the mats other than the ones on her hind legs. She lets me trim her nails and has an appt with the vet next week to be groomed. She'll get a bath, nails filed, teeth cleaned, ears cleaned and I am going to have them shave her belly and back legs so I can have a fresh start on keeping those areas brushed to avoid the matting.
She has adapted really well to my kids. She hid under my bed for the first three days or so and is still a little skiddish when a stranger comes over. She didn't do well on the food I bought her that day, it made her stool really runny which ended up being a mess on her rear end so we switched her to the friskies and she's doing much better on that. I bought her a bed and she sleeps in the bathroom downstairs since she likes to wake me up at 5:30am lol. She goes right in for bedtime now.
She loves to sit in the window in my bedroom and admire the nest of birds outside in the satellite dish. She plays with all the little pieces of paper and bows that my kids leave on the floor and loves to watch our fish! I will send pictures soon but our main computer with the card reader just burnt out last week. I currently only have my laptop so I cannot upload my pictures of her.
Thank you again for sending us such a wonderful kitty. We feel blessed to have her in our home.
