  1. My girls are currently playing with a catnip mouse. I had it in a plastic bag intending to give it to them next week (I wanted them to get used to the new scratching post first). They obviously smelled the catnip through the plastic and I came home from work yesterday to find the plastic bag in the middle of the lounge floor with a large hole torn in the side. The catnip mouse was in the snug. Hepburn loves just carrying it around in her mouth. Garbo prefers killing it - although she never puts her claws out!

  2. I too achieve an interesting colour, though I go more plum...and my forehead gets the first beads, followed by my whole head, then it works its way down. It's so very weird, I've always been a real wimp when it comes to temperatures, now I'm standing out in the garden first thing in the morning in my PJs enjoying the cold air!

  3. Gee... I'm almost sorry I missed all that fun. NOT ! I was 'spayed' at the age of 35. ;)

  4. Good kitties!!! When we were adopted by Windi, I felt that we were making real progress once she learned to play. She didn't have a clue when she first came to us, but then all she knew before was trying to survive.

  5. MCW and PM, remember my friend that was with us in London? Her ears turn bright red. Not just a little - like fire engine red.

I used to love to sleep under lots of quilts and blankets. Now I sleep with a fire extinguisher.....

  6. My nose and my right cheek flare up worst. WEIRD!

  7. I am beginning to think the girls must have been frightened/ hit by people rather than "just" being abandoned. The way they flinch and run away when they are approached or anything comes at them quickly makes me think they think they are going to be struck. But they are learning to play, and are becoming more and more sociable.

  8. Glad they are relaxing a bit, and learning to play PM!

  9. Poor little things - people can be so evil. I'm sure they'll come round eventually, you've already made great progress with them. Treats, treats and more treats! - btw, Dreamies (like Pika gave us all) are available at Just for Pets (newish pet shop on the high street - website is justforpets.com to find out if you have one nearby).

  10. That Bach's Remedy for Pets really has helped Windi. She used to startle and run if she was on the floor and we reached down to pet her. But since I've started her on the Bach's she doesn't do that nearly as much.

  11. Well, I'm off to wash the pots and then head for bed - glad as I'm sure the rest of us are that today has gone well, and our very own Mollycat is on her way back to health :o)

  12. I gave Mi some Bach's today before his vet visit.I just put a drop each on a few treats. He was scared at the vet's but not as badly as I thought he might be.
