   I have been considering venturing into a new business idea..... i saw recently online that there are muslim barbie dolls who are modestly dressed. as many of you know, i am sikh, and was thinking of taking this idea and making a similar version - hoping to help instill proper morals in fellow people of my religion, and maybe draw interest in modesty and morals from those who are not. ( i don't want the dolls to give the idea that i or others are trying to convert anyone, just hoping they will instill some better thinking and behaviours.) i like the ideas of modesty and proper morals that they gave, though we sikhs aren't always quite so extereme in dress. i'm also hoping to follow the idea of promoting proper respect for my culture and for my religion, so that i can help others be aware of what is and isn't good, and so that little sikh girls have a doll they can intify with. maybe if they work out, i'll consider branching out into other divisions of modest fashion for western themed dolls, and such. im hoping to start by purcahsing dolls at the dollars stores, dressing them up in proper attire, and inclduding little stories and such with them, and sell them online. but it's an idea right now, and i'd like some feedback from those i trust, because i know you guys will give me good guidance!

   You might want to contact your local branch of SCORE, which offers free help to small business owners or people wanting to start a small business. Retired, experienced business people volunteer their time to help folks start their own small businesses. Here is there website: http://www.score.org/women/site.html

   I think e-bay also offers some information about how to set up an online store on its website.

   There may be small business loans that you can apply for. I think the SCORE volunteers could help you create a business plan that you could use to apply for a small business loan.
