Wouldn't a TDK bus tour be fun! I know "cruises" have been mentioned but a bunch of us on a bus traveling the country from "meet" to "meet" would also be a blast. Have fun!

Summary = meet is to be Sunday 6th September, venue TBC (Molly Cat arranging).
Here's my flight itinerary for the whole 2 weeks for info :
My (complete) flight schedule for the fortnight is as follows :
Wednesday 2nd September - arrive Newark Airport, New York at 13.15 on Continental flight 29
Saturday 5th September - arrive Chicago O'Hare Airport at 13.35 on Continental flight 1163
(Cleveland roadtrip to and from Chicago slots in here)
Wednesday 9th September - arrive Austin, Texas at 14.50 on United flight 7547
Saturday 12th September - split flight : depart Austin for Dallas on American Airlines flight 1309, arriving 12.45. Depart Dallas for San Diego on American Airlines flight 1701, arriving 15.00
Tuesday 15th September - split flight : depart San Diego for Phoenix on US Airways flight 351, arriving 11.08. Depart Phoenix for Newark, NY on US Airways flight 685, arriving 20.02
Then up at the crack of sparrowfart on Wednesday 16th for my flight home!

I want to be there....have to see if hubs is still unemployed! He has been out of work for 3 months now....will depend on that! Also, that day is our annual Bratfest in my hometown...we always work at it, but can get someone else if need be...finances will be the decider....I would never drive in Chi Town, so hubs would have to drive me!

I'm a little bothered that Mollycat might now have a bit too much on her plate to co-ordinate this & book somewhere for us all to meet - Molly, would you rather I got Andy to book somewhere? Or are you still OK to do this? Don't want to give you any aggro you could do without!

Ok so I looked at the Triple D website. MC, here are the places he has visited. I don't have any clue which ones are conveniently located. White Palace Grill (1154 S Canal St), Smoque (3800 N Pulaski Pl), Glenn's (1820 W Montrose), Vito's & Mick's (8433 Pulaski Rd), Kumas Corner (2900 West Belmount), Tufano's (1073 W. Vernon Park), Cemita's Pueblo (3619 North Ave). Adam on Man vs. Food visited Geno's East and a bunch of sandwich shop type places on his episode in Chicago.
The lunch and dinner cruises are on the pricey side. If we were going to spend that amount (70.00 pp for lunch) we could dine at some pretty wonderful restaurants and get spectacular food and service.
We have plenty of time to make a fabulous choice.
