  1. Oh, and if you are looking for the cruise experience more than a sit-down full course meal, then Mystic Blue has a fireworks cruise on Sept. 6 for $60. The buffet menu is more of a light fare. I do have to say that the Chicago skyline at night is pretty spectacular.

  2. Another very interesting cruise is the Chicago Architechure River Cruise. It is $32 on the weekends. The Lake Michigan dinner cruises do not go up the river. This tour is run by the CAF and has very knowledgeable guides. No food (except for a snack bar).

  3. One other thing that I have enjoyed doing is going up to the Signature Lounge in the Hancock Building at night. It is on the 96th floor, which is 2 floors above the observatory. If you are lucky you can snag a table near a window and have fantastic views of the city.
