  4. And I have a friend who lives fairly close to N. Olmsted, I've just sent him an email to ask if I can stay with him and meet his two kitties. I also said he was welcome to join us if he wanted to. I gave him the Daily Kitten url to see if I can get him hooked on it too (lol).

He's single, Jewish, and quite funny. He works for a bank though, so I'm not sure he can get the time off. He's an old old SCA friend that I don't see very often, so I'm hoping it works out that I can stay with him.

If not, there are plenty of motels nearby, but I know if HE knew I was within 10 miles of his house and didn't make contact, he'd smack me (lol). I have other dear friends in Cleveland, but on the East side... about 45 minutes away from N. Olmsted.

  5. Wayne works for a bank too Siobhan...it would be funny if it was the same one :)

  6. It's PNC, used to be National City.

  7. Wayne worked for National City for 7 years..before I met him...he works for Huntington now :)

  8. My friend at PNC is hoping he'll be retained, with the merger of PNC and National City, or if he IS downsized, that it's before the end of this year, because National City's severance package is far more generous than PNC.

I'm just thankful I personally don't have to worry about that. (knocks on wood) I think I'll be safe here at the university until I'm ready to retire.

  9. Here is the tentative schedule..
MCW arrives Monday Night Sept 7th. Depending on the time, since her and Andy are driving, planning to meet up for dinner...Hopefully Wayne will come as well. We would just have to decide on where for that evening.
Tuesday Sept 8th...11am at Macaroni Grill in North Olmsted. MCW has to leave by 5pm to drive back to Chicago!

  12. Whoa - that's quite a website for Smokey Bones! But they made the mistake of listing their nutritional information. ACK!!!! Holy Guacamole!!!!!

Here are just a few of the sodium levels. Keep in mind that about 2000 mg per day is all that a person should have. And actually, that's high.

    Smoked wings (8) 8,710 mg
Steak and spinach salad 5,610 mg
Classic burger with cheese 4,820 mg
Baby back ribs, full rack 15,050 mg

Yes, yes - I know. You can always count on me to put a damper on things! Just watching out for y'all!

  13. *looks at WWM's post and just sees a garble of words* I know WWM must be trying to tell us something however, I just can't seem to understand her...:D

  14. Just promise me that you won't get the baby back ribs!!!!

  15. Went to Old Country Buffet yesterday for lunch with the husband and I like salty foods...but their ham and bean soup was almost too much for me! When the attendant asked "how is everything?" I mentioned the high salty flavor of the soup and she says "lots of our customers think the food is salty"

Excuse me? If so many are saying so, then QUIT PUTTING SO MUCH SALT in the food. I would much rather add it at the table.

(Maybe I should have cornered the manager and asked him to try the soup himself) (lol)

Most times I don't worry about calories, fat, sodium, etc., when I'm eating out, but sometimes I feel restaurants add it because without it, the food has no flavor (lol).
