    I hope we hear from MC today. I'm as worried as the rest of TDK about her being alone during all this. I hope the kitties have figured out she's their mama despite the vet smell.

    I wonder if a nice sponge bath would help get rid of the hospital smells so that Betty and Wilma will come and cuddle with her. I can understand her feeling sad about them. Cats are fickle creatures and if things are not right, they won't do their normal routine. I too hope that she can get a hold of her doctor to get some home care. Her being alone after major surgery isn't right and I think the doctor needs a good tongue wagging! If I was there, I would be calling them to arrange it.

    mc i just read back on this thread. i am so sorry you are so much pain. yes listen to your body take the pills and sleep. i send you lost of hugs.. on don't worry betty and wilma will come around soon.. i promise... lydia is getting on her cat hotline now , and telling them you need hugs. yes the strange smells would scare anyone... they will snuggle soon !!

    Oh, dear!!!! I am worried, too! And we know no one else to contact. I have no idea what agency MC works for but, if we knew, we could call her co-workers. I wonder if CM has the email address of MC's co-worker who contacted CM the day of surgery?

    Someone is bound to be checking in on her!

    Didn't CM get a text message from MC's co-worker? Maybe she could text and ask if anything is known. I remember MC saying she dropped her phone and it broke. I hate not knowing !

    no one's heard from amy? i hope she is allright. i'm worried about her. please let me know if you hear anything. i was suprised to get that automated response on her email.. she usually email me often .. she has my home number i don't have a number for her. i will check back later to see if anyone has heard from her !!

    I know that many of us have her address, and I also know that the local police department will do a wellness? check for people who haven't been able to get a hold of someone - is anyone able to try to get thru to her areas police?

    Buttercup just asked me the same thing about having the police do a wellness check, or wondering if we should call the hospital. I was hoping that CM might have the email address of MC's co-worker that sent information to CW the day of the surgery.

    It's just really hard to think that no one is looking in on MC, but I know that we're all getting very worried.

    I hate that they kick you out of the hospital so soon---pain is best managed there, and it has been proven that unnecessary pain actually slows down the healing process. You must take the meds BEFORE the pain gets bad, they work better that way. God Bless you for a speedy recovery!

    Well, and especially since MC is pretty much alone at home. I just wish that her mother would do the mom thing and come and stay with MC until she is a bit more on her feet.

    Does anyone have a land line number for MC? If not (or if there's no answer) it might not be a bad idea to ask the police for a wellness check.

    Even when MC was in tons of pain, she was good about posting. She's probably just sleeping but better safe than sorry.

    I just called Winnebago Co Sheriff to check on her,it's been too long and she did ask us to check on her. I hope she is just fine and not upset.

    Sorry to all who have worried! The police just came and did their welfare check! I have been sicker than a dog today and the surgeon said to stay in bed and not move. I have been packed in ice! I didn't realize how late it had gotten when he began slamming on the window! Now I feel awful about it, but thanks for sending a good looking deputy out! I hve to take my phone out to get it fixed tomorrow, was able to hold it together long enough to get out one message! Please let my dear Marsha know I am ok! But I AM going back to bed! lol

    OMG - thank goodness we have heard from you. MC, you need to call your doctor. And you can't take your phone out to be fixed - someone needs to do that for you. In my humble opinion, you need to be back in the hospital.

    Just came in and of course had to check on Amy! Amy, can one of your co-workers get a replacement phone for you? You realy do need to have access to a phone. OK, off my nagging box now. Glad you are OK, but sorry you are feeling so sick. {{{Amy}}}
