Hey All, This is so darn exciting that I can hardly stand it!!! Abbey's (Black and White Kitty Mama) is about 10 minutes from the airport. I hope that all are up for a homemade Texas meal. Abbey and I are working on the menu. Not too spicy for MCW. Perhaps fried chicken, potato salad, summer melons, garden fresh tomatos, homemade ice cream, coconut cake, or maybe a fresh peach cobbler,a signature cocktail....the options go on and on. I'm so thrilled to get to meet Lisaeylau, WWM and Mr. WWM and all other TDKers. Of course a big ole Texas hug is waiting for MCW!! I think I am going to load the boys up and bring them to Austin so you folks can see T-Do and Wilbur (the wonder kitty)! If there is anything I can do please, please let me know. Abbey is finally through the nausea but is plagued by pretty bad headaches with the pregnancy the heat here is not helping. However, I will add that she is excited about seeing MCW and meeting all other TDK family members. I believe that the diversion of planning is a good thing. Yipee!!! This is so much fun! Hugs to all.

Lisa--MCW mentioned 'early evening' at the beginning of the thread. Will she even be in Austin @ 2:00? Maybe I'm just confused (I'll blame the heat!). SM--I'm sure PT is thinking of dinner the following evening for those staying in Austin?

Maudie's is great. I have no idea what is going on....I think it is the heat! I think that we were going to add an additional meal for all who can make it. A little dinner the following evening. A taste of Texas homestyle cooking and an opportunity to meet the kits and kick back. Boy, does that sound Texas! That would make a near perfect itinerary for her Austin stop! On Wed after she arrives, I'm going to take her wherever she wants to go...Hill Country, UT, barbecue joint, whatever...and would love to have anyone join us!!

I don't know how others feel, but a meetup on Friday would be best for me---that way, only 1 day off will be needed (or even just a 1/2 day depending on the time of meetup). I'm getting so excited!!!

Saturday 5th September - arrive Chicago O'Hare Airport at 13.35 on Continental flight 1163
(Cleveland roadtrip to and from Chicago slots in here)
Wednesday 9th September - arrive Austin, Texas at 14.50 on United flight 7547
Saturday 12th September - split flight : depart Austin for Dallas on American Airlines flight 1309, arriving 12.45. Depart Dallas for San Diego on American Airlines flight 1701, arriving 15.00
Tuesday 15th September - split flight : depart San Diego for Phoenix on US Airways flight 351, arriving 11.08. Depart Phoenix for Newark, NY on US Airways flight 685, arriving 20.02
Then up at the crack of sparrowfart on Wednesday 16th for my flight home!
