  1. I get headaches when the barometer changes and a storm is on the way. Not fun. I haven't said much but I've been keeping track of you, MC. I think surgery recovery is a darn pain. Hang in there. I would also advise not going back to work until you are ready.

  2. Lovely! I am watching the "House" marathon today on USA. They just had a guy they had to do neurosurgery on. I got to see the clamps that they used to hold his head down with (I understand how my head cracked now) and saw them saw his head open! OW-EEEEEEE! That made my head hurt just watching them saw into the back of his head and YES it did look like something from Home Depot!

  3. MC, it is a good thing you didn't see that episode BEFORE your surgery!

  4. Yes I agree!!! :D

  5. MC, I would suggest that you turn that off and watch the Animal Channel!

  8. MC, I didn't want to tell you about this before your surgery, but there are 2 doctors here in NY who run a center devoted solely to treating Chiari Malformation, but they're in trouble right now for deserting a patient after he/she had already been prepped for surgery and anaesthetized! The doc who was supposed to do the surgery was nowhere to be found and the other one refused to cover for him! So they're in trouble for that, plus they're getting sued for doing unnecessary surgery on people so they could publish research papers about it.

I'm so glad those are not your doctors, MC.

  9. now that is cute! I just get sad when I see the abused animals!

  10. Oh, I read about those doctors!

MC, you need to be thinking about your dinner and planning to have some protein. Followed by some treats :-)

  11. I am having a veggie burger with cheese, some corn and fresh fruit! Kilroy I saw their website on the internet. They made their practice sound so "good" and helpful. Amen that it wasn't me!

  12. I feel guilty even typing this today. I feel like our attention should be focused on John, Terri's husband! I am feeling much better today, much stronger. I do feel a touch of a cold coming on but that seems so trivial at times like this. I am so happy (yes, happy) that I did this surgery as I was at high risk for a massive stroke with my brain squished the way it was. I feel so lucky to have made it through. It has been a struggle but one I would happily do again to save my life. My thoughts and prayers are with John today, as I ask yours to be.

  13. It's not trivial, MC. Terri would be the first to say that life goes on. You don't need to catch a cold right now. Drink lots of Vitamin C. What are those lozenges that are OTC and are supposed to help prevent, or shorten, a cold? My brain isn't working too well right now.

  14. MC, I am sure that Terri would be here right now saying "YAY" for you - we can and will grieve for her and celebrate for you at the same time - it's called love!

  15. MC and WWN, you want lozenges with zinc in them... jelps to boost immune system to fight the cold. You have your battle still to fight, MC, and need to continue to take extra care of yourself.

  16. hi family, i feel like my problems are small compared to those of my TDK family. I am having a headache today as well as my neck hurting. I am sad because my TDK family is sad. (((TDK)))

  17. MC, I wonder if a heating pad would help with that neck pain?

  18. Sorry you are hurting today, MC...hope the day improves for you!
