Good evening, all! Thought it was time for a night shift.
I can't offer any foods or kitties as I'm at work, but I have hugs and prayers for those who need them.
I got a sad text message today from The Crazy Cat Lady. She had to put Spice to sleep yesterday. I'm not sure what happened. She looked well when I saw her a few weeks ago. Don't know if it was complications from her diabetis or what, but it's sad.
Her mom and her kitty sister Sugar will miss her.

I heard the other day they were ready to send a hurricane hunter plane out to check out the front, but then changed their minds as it looked like the front would get swallowed up by another front. Don't like hearing about hurricanes already - it's only May!!
AV, It's been a long one, I had to work an unexpected 10 hour shift. My brain feels like mush lol

AL82 - yuck! 10 hr shift!... I hope you get some rest!.... I used to work 10 hr shifts 4 days a week when I worked in a hospital in the computer programing dept. when I was first out of college!.... It was a long day, but I loved the three days off :)
GD, I can't even HEAR the word "hurricane" without it sending shivers up my spine.... you do realize I own 40 rental properties, all within 1/2 mile of the water!!!!! YIKES!..... I have nightmares every spring to fall!.....
AV, where I work I am an on-call, so I cover for those who call in sick. Well, next week, I work Sunday thru Friday...it's gonna be busy one!

Uh Oh. I was hearing some noisy leaf-crunching sounds by the creek behind me and stepped out onto the deck for a look. I thought it was the deer (they are pretty noisy) but NO... it was a very large skunk. At first I thought he was making a nest down there but I think he was just digging for food - he went back across the creek and into the woods. Oops, skeeters are coming in! Time to get everyone indoors.

Going to sit in the sun and try and thaw out now. Shadz is asleep in the sun underneath my Rhubarb. It must be acting as a great wind break to the very icy wind we have. Our weather is direct from Antarctica today and dumped snow in some areas last night.

LOL MS! Shadz knows where the "warmth" is!..... I keep forgetting you are "opposite" to us, here it's spring in going into summer in Fla., but in NZ it's fall going into winter!.....
.... pushes a "huge" pile of pine wood to Ms thru the wormhole for fires from NC..... it's a great burning wood!.....
