I liked this years ending show. I really liked Adam, but I know that the winner is locked in for a year for the songs they want them to cut. So Adam will have a chance, not that he needed one. I loved the show and hope you all enjoyed or will see it later.

Dee, me too. Kris is on his way, I hope. So many of them are never heard from again, but the 4th or 3rd or 2nd place winners are. Strange show, but captures your heart and we come back year after year to do it again!

I am so glad Adam didn't win--he won't have to sing that AI pap they had Kara write--what an awful song and Kris murdered it! I knew the producers wouldn't let a gay guy win--just go back to Clay vs. Ruben. Idol seems to ruin the winners' careers with bad first albums--look at Archuleta's, and where are Taylor Hicks, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, etc. The only ones successful are Kelly and Carrie. Adam is by far the better singer and he will do very well, perhaps as Queen's new lead singer? He is the only one who can match Freddie Mercury's phenomenal voice. 3rd place Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson are doing better than any of them. I stopped voting after last year it was apparent the producers picked the winners--they didn't want to deal with Archuleta's father. Kris is good but Adam is phenomenal!

I watched one episode of American Idol and that was because Slash was on it. I have to admit I didn't care for Adam at all. I don't like vocal histrionics.
As far as him being the new lead singer of Queen - I hope not. If so, I'll just hold a little seance and bring Freddie back to kick his @$$. There was only one Freddie Mercury and he's not only dead - he's irreplaceable. Even though George Michael (who I can't stand) gave me chills with the live version of "Somebody to Love" a few years back, he still was no Freddie. And yes, I am a HUGE Queen fan and have been since 1974. If Queen is going to carry on, I think they should just let Roger sing. His range is higher than Freddie's was. (He was the one hitting all the high notes on Bohemian Rhapsody).

HM! I'm in total agreement. A few years ago everyone was trying to get me to watch AI one week because they were doing Queen songs - I couldn't do it, I knew it would be pretty bad. (But who am I to talk: somewhere there is an old reel-to-reel tape with my best friend and I, about 12 years old, completely killing Bohemian Rhapsody. We had no clue what the words were to that song.)

Hey all! I was rooting for Adam, but I was warming up to Kris. I think all the Danny supporters put Kris over the top. As far as Ruben, Taylor and Fantasia go, they are all on tour with Broadway shows. I saw Ruben and Fantasia last month in Aint Misbehavin' and they were awesome!
