   I would like to introduce you all to Sookie.

   She lives with Chip and my daughter and her fiancee in AZ. She was 7 months old when the adopted her. According to the shelter her and another cat were "confiscated". She had a litter that was stolen by the other cat.

   I'm so proud of my daughter. 2 weeks after coming to live with them Sookie got very sick, at first we thought it was just your typical upper respiratory infection from being in a shelter...well $5,000 later and a week in the hospital, Sookie got to come home to stay. She is not infectious but will have a runny nose and eyes and must take medication for life. But as of my visit last weekend is a very happy, loving kitty.

   Oh, poor Sookie. What a rough start, between the other cat stealing her kittens (?!) and then getting sick. So glad she's safe with your daughter now, CCM. She's lovely.

   Your daughter is SUPER, CCM! Sookie is very cute. I'm so glad she will have a good life now! But holy crow...that was a lot of $!

   Yes Linda I think so :D!! Most of the $$ were from the hospital stay it is amazing how expensive it gets. Fortunately they gave her a payment plan so she didn't have to pay it all up front.

   Kilroy the other cat had recently had a litter too but they all died. I'm gald the shelter didn't give any details as to why they were both confiscated.

   Sookie is beautiful...I bet you are proud of your daughter, first to rescue such a sweet kitty and then to go that far to get her healthy. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree does it Chuck?

    Thanks, I try :).

    Sookie is so sweet. She slept with me the whole time I was there. You can't see in the pictures, but when you look at her in the light she has dark gray stripes on her sides.

    She is so sweet. Where in AZ is your daughter? 2p and Azdeb are here with me also. Which shelter did she adopt from? We have many wonderful rescues here.

    They live in Gilbert, and I have no idea which shelter she was adopted from. I will soon be joining the AZ TDK crew. I am trying to get approved for a house in Mesa. :)

    CCM, your daughter is amazing and what a sweet looking cat Sookie is. Shadz was very sick with cat flu at 7 weeks when we first got her and nearly died, ever since she has one eye that weeps especially if she gets stressed, it is a great indicator for how she is feeling.

    Yes, 2B...I am. My daughter and fiance are coming here the 29th thru un 5th and they are going to help me pack up and take my furry crew out there.
