Yesterday I fed him and tried to rub his anus and make him go and he wouldn't go. So I put him back in his room (the guestroom) and went to the store and when I came back about 25 mins later he went #2 in his litter box! So now that I know he knows where to go do I still need to rub his anus? Do I put him near the litter box or do I let him do all of this by himself?
Also, my adult cat still hisses at him. She'll come up behind him, sniff him but as soon as he turns and trys to sniff her back she hisses. Should I let her just hit at him or take him away like I've been doing. I'm just afraid they'll fight or something and he's really not old enough for that. Thanks everyone!!!

Kittens train themselves on the litterbox. He's got the idea now, so you don't need to rub his anus anymore unless you see him straining in the litterbox. Keep him in an enclosed area for a little bit (or watch him) because there may be accidents. :) But he's potty trained! Yay! Just to make sure he's really got the idea, you can put him in the box after he eats.
Sometimes, adult cats hiss at kittens because the kittens smell like shelter, or smell dirty. So you can try giving the kit a bath with gentle antibacterial soap. As long as she doesn't whack him really hard, she's just asserting her dominance. Keep an eye on them - the way to tell if it's malicious or playful is the ears - if the ears are back, then it's time to get you kitten out of the way! She also may not want him sniffing at her yet, so she's just getting him out of the way. If you see claws at any point, then you need to get him away from her. If it seems like she is just pushing his head down to the floor, that's okay, because it is the momcat's way of disciplining kittens.
good luck!
