Hi Everyone from NC!... I'm at the top of the mountain, and it is absolutely beautiful!...... I love that the humidity is almost "non-existent" compared to Fla. so Hubbs and I are really enjoying ourselves!
Fountains are up.....chocolate.... all kinds of sweets, "after dinner" liquers, martinis, everything you want!....
appetizers are abundant... shrimp, lamb, all kinds of cheeses, fruits... come one, come all!
Linda, I DIDN'T!!!!.... and I'm SOOOOOOOOO missing her!!!!..... We only came for Thurs to Sun, and the plane ticket for her would have cost more than mine!... Daughter is home, so I told her to "Pamper" my baby!..... Daughter called today, and said Abby "cried" all night last night!.......*snif*
Tomorrow, Hubbs and I will play in our "couples" golf tourney!.... (poor Hubbs, he's so good and I'm so bad!).... I could truly stay here (in the mountains) for the rest of my life, they are sooooooooo beautiful, I am amayzed every time I come here how beautiful they are! MAJESTIC!!!
Hi AV... I know what it is like...I am about to go to Washington D.C. in 2 weeks and I really don't want to leave my babies...however, the mountains are so breathtaking....It is a wonderful place to relax and think... I am turning a bit green...I love the mountains.....

I had a TIA about 2 months ago. During that time they found a growth in my sinuses. They believe it to be a cyst. They didn't remove it because I was in the neurology cardiac unit. I was sent to my family doctor and had to get a referal to an ENT and then he said he doesn't operate on this and I need the surgery. So he is sending me to Lubbock and they haven't called with my appointment. It seems so convoluted because I will end up where I started with all this!

SM, I'm sorry you are getting the bureaucratic runaround to deal with your sinus condition. Might the anitbiotic also help reduce the cyst?

Hi, Everyone! Oh gosh... this has been like the worst night ever as a hostess. We have a friend here, she is the rescuer of Willow and she cat sits for us when we're gone. She's been in nursing school and should have graduated last week. But she was .4 points off of the required GPA. And they won't round up!!!! She has an appointment next week with the VP of Student Affairs, who could rule to grant her the degree. So we had her over for dinner and some coaching. Well, we did so much coaching that I completely forgot to check on the chicken that was on low. So guess what burned?????? *blushes in shame* Thank heavens she passed being "company" long ago. I normally don't even do that to family! ARG!!!
SM, I'm so sorry! Can they not give you some idea of a surgery date?
Well, it's Friday night and that might mean that I will treat myself to an Ambien and therefore the rare night of sleep!

Hello to KW and WWM.
KW the ENT in town said they can't remove the mass until the infection is gone. The xrays show it bigger than in March. It is a 10 day round and I am on day one. I guess I should know toward the beginning of June. My ears seem to follow the sinuses. Tonight they are driving me batty. Although I don't know I have far to go!
Goodnight, WWM. I will send good thoughts that your friend will get to be a nurse after all. What an insane system that would require her to repeat the entire education program. At least lawyer applicants only have to retake the test, not repeat law school! (We do have one here in Oregon that took and failed the bar exam 22 times. Yikes!)
AL82 and our son are coming over to visit so I will say goodnight now. Sweet dreams to all who are slumbering in TDKland. May your kitties keep you warm and purr you to sleep (and let you sleep in tomorrow!!!)

Had to go get the spelling--Erythromycin is what I am using again. Seems to work eventually. He also talked about Cipro, but that isn't what I got. Should probably asked what the difference is.

Hey KW I am volunteering like every year and the Morgan Hill Mushroom mardi Gras! Me and mom work selliing beer tickets though this year we will be selling wine too! and Sd and his tema pour the beer next to us! It is very fun but grueling but the end of the day your back, legs and feet are n fire and you feel at least 600 years old! And We get back up the next day doa do it all over agian! Why? Because it's fun hahaha! Monday i get to rest and then Tuesday hacve work! Gonna be one heck of a tired Ange I am! The last 2 weeks I have worked 4,5 and now a 3 day week maybe a4 day week! gonna be a nice pay check though! i am tired!

Just popping in briefly, corned beef cooking on the stove and whole beetroot simmering away. Looks like it's red dinner tonight. Sunny day but very cold wind and I think winter has arrived several weeks early this year.

Here just for a min or two, been working on closets today and tired now. Had to weed thru clothes that I have had for far too long, they don't fit, some still have the tags on them...hangs head in shame. But they are going to the Goodwill so someone will get use of them. And my shoes, I admit I have a shoe fetish...and only have about 75-80 pairs of shoes that I want to get down to about 20..good thing I like 'good' shoes, Born, Clark's, and the like so others will get good use out of them too.
MS, you are getting an early winter and out summer heat is about a month early, what a world we live in.

Hi, Deb! Lucky people that will end up with the shoes and clothes you are culling out of your collection. I know several people who have full closets--all kinds of reasons for it. Won't it be fun to get down to those things that you really use. You will be able to see new wardrobe combinations that were hidden by all that other "stuff."

Deb, you have been busy today. Meegz and I went shopping for thermals today to keep warm. She is going to the mountains next weekend and will need to be very warm indeed for playing in the snow. Must fly now and get our dinner sorted and the fire lit and settle down for a quiet evening in. Back on later tonight.

Behind my left shoulder on the wall is printouts of handy TDK hints, Buttercups kitchen hints and TKN's 3% peroxide uses, and the WD40 one also.
