Hey guys :) i have two cute kittens 11-12 weeks old. When i stroke them, they start tapping their paws with nails out and purring :) they absolutely love it. What does it it mean, when they tap?
Thank you :)))

Does anyone know what does it mean, when kitties tap their paws?

.....Giedre, is it like they are flexing their claws in and out? like "kneading" bread?.... this is very normal, and is what kittens do to their mother when they nurse..... once your kitty bonds with you, they will imitate this action because it reminds them of their mothers.... so when you stroke them, they are are reminded of her licking them, so they will "knead" and purr.... it means they trust and love you!

Goal achieved! They love me :))) Thank you for your reply :) i haven't had cats before and know nothing about them. I had a doggy, i'm good at bringing them up and training them, but kittens are out of my area :)
I study, so spend a lot of time at home, i do try to be with them as much as possible, play,cuddle... -
Welcome to the kitty club! You will learn quickly that you need to keep your kittens nails trimmed, or else when they "make biscuits" on your lap it will feel like acupuncture! Best of luck with your kitties! Mine love to help me study/work at hone - they lie across whatever I am reading, or hang their tails in front of the computer screen, and sometimes try to take over my keyboard! Enjoy!

Here is the picture of my beloved kitties: Bailey and Tigrius. Thank you for a nice welcome :) My kittens also "help" me studying by demanding attention non stop, playing with the pencil when i write, walk all over the papers and books, but to be honest, it does help me, especially at night :) im not so bored then :)
By the way, it's a weird way to download a picture :) I've never used gravatar before...
xx
