  1. Tea (all varieties), coffee, croissants and pastries, full English breakfast, fresh fruit, juices, whatever else you may desire, plus a huge basket-full of snuggly kitties.

    Come and help yourself......................

  2. Morning, PM, yum, yum, I'll have a big mug of tea and several Danish pastries please. It's cold here so I need to eat to keep warm... well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it, lol.

What have you planned for your Bank Holiday Sunday?

  3. Good morning, PM UK! How are you, and how are Garbo and Hepburn?

We never got the predicted thunderstorms here yesterday, so hubby gets his Sunday tennis game, hooray! I slept very badly last night (or did a great job of not sleeping), so am feeling stupid and tired. Not sure how much I'm going to try to do today, although I promised myself I would go to the gym.

I think I'll help myself to some tea and a kitten and curl up on the Cafe couch for a nap.

  4. Morning, Kilroy, you sound like you need a nice relaxing day! We will whisper quietly while you have your nap :)

  10. Morning, Jcat, MS & CM. PMUK, sounds like your day's off to a good start (love the part about driving with the top down!). Enjoy your week off.

CM, how was the zoo? Did the girls have fun? Did you?

  11. Temperature 21C, not a cloud in the sky ...................

  12. PM, I envy you watching the Monaco Grand Prix. I loved F1 but it has gone to Sky TV here and we don't get it, so I content myself with A1GP. It was nothing for the girls if they were home to come into my bed in the wee small hours to watch F1. (Mr MS was working out of town) I love the Monaco GP as there are so few places for passing and the wonderful noise of the motors when they go through the tunnel.

  13. Well the car engine is really quiet, so I tried to let people know I was coming along the lanes. The stereo in my car is FANTASTIC!

  14. My goodness PM, is Britain getting a summer this year?
CM, got any crumbs left from that cookie? It sound just heavenly.
    Kilroy, take the day slowly.

  15. The BBC has got all the Grands Prix back this year, so there aren't even any interruptions for adverts now. And they've got that wonderful signature tune (The Chain - Fleetwood Mac: the instrumental section that goes ............, no I won't go there)

  16. The long range weather forecast has said it's going to be a barbecue summer!

  17. Ohmigosh, you two are just a couple of petrolheads... :)

  18. We had a great time at the zoo. We are members so we go a lot during the summer. We go for a few hours during the morning then come home for Maddie's nap. We look at different parts of the zoo each time. Maddie was so good and had a great time. She saw the bears and she loved the Polar Bear, he was asleep and she kept telling him to wake up. It was so cute.

    That cookie was good :)

  19. 15 minutes to the start. I just have enough time to open a bottle of wine and pour myself a glass of chilled white. I'll save the fizz for Jenson winning!

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  20. You're just teasing me now CM about the cookie.
The zoo sounds like fun, I bet Maddie had a wonderful time.
    Jcat, Vrrooooooooooooooooom vrrooooooom.

  21. Polar bears are magnificent, I approve of Maddie's choice! Did Abbie coo at any creature in particular?

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  22. I still back Mclaren, seeing as how it was started by a Kiwi. Don't think they will do well in this GP though.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  23. Vrroom vrooom, right back, MS. Girl racers don't scare me...

  28. I need to wake up! I am such a goof and started a second cafe thread, I blame it on the BRAIN! SOrry bout that! Phooey on your English Races, today is THE GREATEST ONE DAY SPORTING EVENT IN THE WORLD!!!!! The Indy 500! Now that is what I am doing today! Been following that race since I could pay attention. My grandma used to live by the track and was friends with the (older) drivers and we always snuck in and had so much fun! I miss that! :( CM, if you are gonna bring a cookie in with your coffee, bring one for all of us! Please and thank you!

  29. I decided not to go to the gym, but I did do some weights so at least the day wasn't a total wash. I want my sculpted arms back! Now to head out and do grocery shopping so I have healthy food around and won't resort to junk (I can only control what I eat to a certain point, as hubby does most of the cooking and can eat whatever the heck he wants, grrrr).

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  30. Kilroy, we are "sisters in brains" and I tell you: take it easy! I totally understand how you feel about wanting to work out but you need to take care of you! My NS says once I am better I have to be vigilent about my overall health and strength, especially since I don't have a first vertebrae. That is the one that supports our head and keeps it "balanced" on top of the spine. So I will be a workout fiend when the time comes but until then I know its ok to take it easy and slow. Unfortunately, what I have isn't "going away" and I may have to have the surgery again one day (or another one). Me and the girls send gentle headbonks, purrs and good thoughts your way! Give Georgie scritches from me!
