  2. Morning AV, you've been lurking in the NS office.
I'm just waiting for the bread to thaw so I can make Mr MS's lunch for tomorrow, then I'm off to bed and try to make up for that lost hour of sleep. I've been up for 19 hours today.
Coffee, yum. Actually I just poured one from the pot on top of the fire place. Really great 'going to bed' beverage.

  4. Lunch made and I'm off to bed after tucking Shadz in for the night in her basket by the fireplace. I'll also check the time on the clock. Really don't need or want another 4.22am morning.
    Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday.

  5. Morning, all (night-night, MS).

Dreary, gray day here. I'm trying to figure out what to do with myself, as hubby is going to be away overnight. I've discovered that I'm no good at being single anymore :) At least it's only one night; in July he's going away for a whole week! :(

Sorry the girls gave you a hard time last night, CM. I say you've earned a donut, and coffee. Lots of coffee :)

  6. Kilroy, you can pamper yourself with a lovely hot bubbly bath, watch 'chick flicks', eat whatever you want, paint your nails, bake something you remember from your childhood. I look forward to hearing what you did when I return tomorrow.

  7. ...slides a steaming "cup a joe" to MS, and a nice plate of five lovely frosted donuts to CM!....

    ... morning ladies!.....

MS, I had to laugh about your clock story!..... when Hubbs and I were first married, we flew to Scotland (St. Andrews) for our honeymoon.....first time to UK for me!..... anyway, we were exhausted and by the time we finally to the Old Course Hotel, we fell asleep instantly!..... after what seemed like the longest sleep ever, we woke up and looked outside - it was bright and sunny - promised to be a beautiful day!..... so we got up, got dressed and went down to the restaurant for a nice English breakfast......not a sole in the place!..... we thought that was so strange.... finally, we saw someone come out of the kitchen and flagged him down....... the sun had been up for a while, and we couldn't figure out why people weren't around for breakfast..... anyway, the nice little kitchen helper, in his most proper English accent said "I'm sorry Mame, but it's only 4:30 am".... Here in Scotland in July the Sun sets around midnight and rises around 4am!!!!!......we had no idea! Hubbs and I still laugh about that today!

  8. Morning Kilroy!..... I love my occasional "single" nights!..... and I do just like MS said, bubble bath, facial mask and a nice glass (or two) of wine!..... I also eat popcorn for dinner, just because I can!... ;)

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  9. LOL at AV, oh dear, I bet your faces were red.
Some of my 'single nights' have been weeks long. I live a different life when Mr MS is away. Different sleep times, food etc. Spoil your self Kilroy, make it an enjoyable 'me' time and he'll be back before you know it.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  10. ...well, let's just say - we were on our honeymoon, so we found "other" ways to occupy ourselves until breakfast was served...... *blushes*

  11. Hmmmmmmmmmm, giggles coyly. Ohhhhh!
    nighty night,

  12. Morning Kilroy! Enjoy your night without hubbs. I so would. Bath, cuddle with George, movies, junk TV, early jammie night..Oh I am jealous..Of course I would have to get rid of the girls to have all that as well...

Anyway, Maddie is up so the circus is about to start. I might be back, depends how the day goes. I do lurk when I can if I can't post. Big Hugs!!!

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  13. ((hugs)) CM!..... enjoy those "circus" days.... they'll pass in a blink of an eye!..... my baby (daughter) graduates in two days, and leaves for college in 2 weeks....... it sure will be quiet around here!......*sniff*

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  14. Wow, that's not much time between graduation and leaving, AV. What happened to her summer?

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  15. ... Kilroy, it was her choice!.... she is so excited about "going out on her own".... that she chose to attend the first summer session...... Orientation is the 8th to 11th of June, then she comes home to pack and get ready to move... we have our last family vaca from June 13-20, then she moves in her dorm on June 24......

... Hubbs is absolutely beside himself, loosing our baby!.....

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  16. Don't think of it that way, AV, think of it as gaining a lovely young woman who's going out to take the world by storm!

  17. Morning everybody! (and g'night as appropriate). Had a rough start to my morning. SOMEBODY peed on my comforter (I suspect Tansey), the milk for my cereal was spoiled, and when I fixed scrambled eggs as a backup, and tried to grind fresh pepper on them, the doggone pepper mill opened up and I had peppercorns with eggs. They went all over the stove too, the counter and the floor. It's not fun picking individual peppercorns out of hot eggs....I decided to put the sandwich my husband made me for lunch today, back in the frig, and I'm going OUT TO LUNCH today.

Posted 2 years ago by Siobhan #

  18. LOL Sio!.... those are the days I just want to go back to bed and start all over!....

... good for you going OUT to lunch!... you deserve it after that rough start!

  19. good morning to all. phew, its a gray day here and its just pouring down rain. I am so sleepy today and can hardly keep my eyes open. I will have two jelly donuts and ice cold milk please!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  20. Morning MC! hope you're feeling better today!..... poo on the rain!.... we certainly got our fill of it here in Fla. although, I shouldn't complain cause we've had some summers that were terrible droughts!...

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  21. Oh dear, Siobhan, what a morning! I agree, some days make one just want to crawl back into bed.

Morning, MC!! How are you today? Phooey on rain, although it can be conducive to napping...

*Kilroy slides a plate of donuts and a tall glass of milk to MC*

  22. I am filling ok today. My neck is still stiff and my bones are cracking. I think it is the weather!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  23. I think your poor neck must have taken a lot of abuse during the surgery, MC. No wonder it's sore and stiff. It will get better, but I know how hard it is to wait for that to happen!

I'm about to run off to work :( but might be back on later. Have a good day, all.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  24. It has to be because of the foot long scar I have. They cut through a LOT of MUSCLE!!! OWIE!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  25. Hello, everyone! Cooler weather here today. Still having trouble with the neck, MC. Can you use any warm or cool cloth to help?
Nothing much on the agenda for today. Just keeping up with work. My niece is having a birthday this week and I want to find something to send her, thinking of getting her one of those edible arrangements to have sent to her office.

Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

  26. those edible arrangements are absolutely yummy!

  27. Guys, isn't today AZDEB's birthday?

  28. I am not 100% sure does someone else have a list?

  29. Hi everyone! Kilroy, I like my "girls night in with Leela". As suggested, I enjoy a chick flick, and eat whatever I want for dinner. I also enjoy NOT watching tv for a change; opting to play with Leela or digging into a project around the house.
MC, I was thinking of you over the weekend while I endured yet another stiff neck/sore upper back. I seem to be prone to this. I figured if you could handle much worse, I would be able to get thru it.
Sio, forget the nonsense at your place and have an omlet with me. It's got cheese... :)

Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  30. May I have some hashbrowns covered in cheese please?
