Oh wow - thanks for checking on me! I am fine - things have just been manic around here. I've been lurking a bit, trying to keep up with at least some of what is going on. We were away 2 weekends ago, and then we had a house guest this last weekend, so all of that has meant lots to do. Plus work has been insane. Lots of late hours, although that is calming down now.
I leave for San Diego a week from Saturday, on June 6th. My mom is pretty much resigned to being in the nursing care center from now on, but I know this is going to be really hard for her, having to clear out all her stuff, etc. I'll be there until July 2, when I fly up to the SF area to be with Mr. Rubia.
Tomorrow is Mr. Rubia's last day at his current job, and he'll be starting his new job around the 22nd of June. He's going to go to Calif. on a 6-month training visa, so life will be very interesting around here for a while! So things are pretty frantic what with trying to get organized for all that, plus my having to get my mom sorted out.
Thanks again for thinking of me! I love my TDK family!

Aw - thanks Karen! Poor Tikka - I'm sure she knows something is up. She has been really needy and clingy these last few days - meowing and asking for lots of attention all the time. I will be away for a total of nearly 2 months - I am really going to miss her!
The good news is that I will be spending nearly a month in the SF area, so hopefully I will be able to see some of the TDKer's in the area while I'm there!

Rubia, glad things are okay and going well. It's nice you get to spend some time with your mom and get to see hubbs in SF! I have always wanted to go there and I lived in California..just never got up there.

I am so frustrated, because I am going to be in Indianapolis for the weekend of June 27 for a family reunion, but I will have absolutely no time to meet up with any of the midwestern TDKers! :-(
