Food, drink and kittens at the ready for all nightshifters.
I've just got back in from a day in London with darling Daughter (DD) and the Ballymena Boyfriend (BB).
We had lunch at Porters and then caught the boat down to Greenwich. Looked around the Naval college for a while then caught the boat back because we were supposed to see an episode of QI being recorded at the London Studio. DOors opened at 6.45 and we were there by 6.30, but a man came round and told us that we wouldn't get in. Apparently they always issue too many tickets in case people don't turn up, so you actually have to start queueing and hour or more before the doors open if you want to guarantee yourself a place.
Well the London Studio is right next door to the National Theatre, so we went there instead and saw Dido: Queen of Carthage, by Christopher Marlowe. It was very good. After the play we went to Wagamamas for dinner and then managed to catch the last train home.
I'm bushed.
