  1. Yes, i just rescued a very sick/starving barn cat. I can't help it, i see a sick cat like that and have to help it. Didn't even mean too - we were going to see how our calves were looking at the heifer barn (after they leave calf barn where we raise them they head over to that barn), and i saw a very sick and skinny black and white cat. Turns out that its a he, you can feel almost all of its bones, very dehydrated, and has a bad cold.

I went and took him from there this morning and he has already devoured a full six ounce can of the By Nature Organics 95% meat. I split the can in half of course, so he got half around noon and then the other half 7 pm. He wasn't very happy with getting fluids though i can't blame him.

So I guess i have another cat :) Who as soon as he is better is going to go get fixed lol!

  6. I miss having barn cats all around and finding kitties that need rescuing. It was one of my favorite things helping those little guys!

  8. I too miss the barn kittens. I get all the females that show up "fixed" and haven't had a litter of kittens in 10 years. I down to just 2 "barn"cats they are the ones that will come around people. There are some feral ones that hang around in the shadows. But I have done a pretty good job of getting the girls to the spa so no kittens. I have one barn cat the is 15 years old typically unheard of as my vet says I just had her in for a tooth infection. And she was totally mad at me last winter when the weather got real bad and I brought her in the house.

  10. I have been trying to get her to come in and out but she wants no part of it. If I scoop her uo to bring in the house I have to have my chore coat on or she will claw me. Last winter I used 20 degrees as my guide line, if it was to get below 20 in she came. Made her her own place on top of my upright freezer so she could look down and watch everthing and she even used the litter box after living outside all her life.
