  1. I would like to open night shift tonight if I may. I would like to pay tribute to a dear friend who has left this world much too soon. I, as many of us, have shed many tears over her passing this world, to go to a place where there is no pain, many kittys and friends to greet her there.

Terri, my friend, you were there when all hope seemed lost for me. You encouraged me to "get over myself" and look to the good that was coming ahead. I didn't believe you, but it all came true. When you were troubled, we shared those moments. When TDK members needed help, you wanted to create a fund. And what wonderful things have you made happen with that. You wanted help, I as well as others on the fund, were only too happy to volunteer for the cause.

When your beloved John was away working and you missed him so, you kept us posted of your trips to visit, as few as they were. You told us of your baby, Bogman, who so loved a little girl who needed him, and you let him go and help her until it was his time to come home. Andy, your tailess wonder, what joy we had in watching him grow. Unfortunatly, his place was over the rainbow bridge too soon, and I think I know why.

You have no idea how many people you touched on this site as they pay tribute to you today. CM especially, Maddie and "Fishie" our dear little Abby, will never know the love you felt. As well as Julie, 2P, who was another dear friend. As all of the Tdk members you have touched in your special way.

I hope you are playing with all the kittys and our friends who have left us too soon, Jerry and Cindy. I remember all of you with fond memories of who you were and who you will continue to be in our hearts.

And, may the angels kiss you gently while you sleep, I hope you become one of mine.

With much love and rememberance, Mama Lynn

  2. Well said, Lynn. Terri touched so many lives. I hope that John will draw some small comfort from that.

In honor of Terri, I raise a glass in toast. "To a life so well lived. To one who has left a mark and reminded all of us to live with love in our hearts. To John - there are no words, but so many hearts and friends. To Terri - thank you for showing us the way."

Passes off to the next family member......

  3. I didn't know Terri very well, but she was always there with reassurance and a gentle word. Always looking out for others whether human or feline or canine. I can't seem to come up with the words that fill my heart right now, the only thing that comes easily are my tears. Thank you Terri for being the wonderful person that so many of us cherised. Rest well my friend.

  4. WWM, thank you. I didn't think I would get through that post for the tears and the ones that have been pouring from my eyes all day. I know that John will see all of this and know how much his beloved Terri was loved by so many around the world. I hope it gives him comfort in his time of loss, and it will help to heal all of us.

Passing to the next family member as well......

  5. I know, Lynn. Sometimes the lessons of life are so very hard. We want to ask "why" but it is not our place to do that. But why.... why are those who are so good taken far too soon?

I wish so much that we could all be in a room together. What a lovely vision.....

  6. If we all just close our eyes, swollen as they may be, take a minute, we are all there, never mind time zones, or the time of day.

"All friends of TDK, are together right now, holding each other close, arms on shoulders, arms around waists, heads on shoulders, tissues handed out. We are one, and as strong as we want to be, yet one with each other in our loss"

We are friends, forever and for always. Never forget that. We are a human base of love and support. We shall always stay that way.

I love you all, my friends.

  7. Well written words above, I cannot add anything other than it was a joy to know Terri as little as I did. Even just reading about her kindness and big heart, as well as when reading about Cindy's just makes one's heart smile. I too think that Nilla Bean aka Andy was called home to be there when Terri arrived so she would have comfort there.

  8. I raise my glass to toast this wonderful friend whose kindness and warmth greeted me in my earliest days at TDK. The mornings in the Cafe with such sweet graciousness and kitties to share. Terri was always so supportive and incredibly imaginative with the Roller Rink Parties and Purrday Parties. Whenever a prayer was needed Terri was there. I will miss her very much. =(

  12. I raise my glass to a wonderful friend and woman who touched so many lives. Terri, how can I thank you enough for your friendship and laughter that we shared. You loved and I mean LOVED my girls like your own. We shared pictures, jokes, stories. You and John were the best couple and made for each other and you could tell how much you loved him. You will always be in my heart and soul, you touched me with your friendship and love and they will always remain there. I believe you will be watching over Maddie and Abbie like you always have and I will be eternally grateful for you and I was priviliged and honored to be called your friend.

  15. Cm, your children have their own special "angel" now and her name is Terri. She will watch over your children, as if they were her own, and hover around you to take care of you as well. Never forget the power of a friend. She will be with you always. She loved you and your family so very much. I wish you peace and comfort in the days to come.

  17. It's time for me to go to bed, although sleep will not come easily, I fear. Please all of you stay well, and safe, and keep other TDK family members in our prayers as we pass through this night. For those who need continued healing, may God give you that gift of healing. For those who are in need of surgery, May God's hand hold the instrument steady and strong and relieve you of your pain. For those just in sorrow, may his loving arms comfort you as you sleep. And may tomorrow be the beginning of a healing day in our lives.

And may the angels kiss you gently while you sleep. Much love, mama Lynn. Goodnight.

  18. I too will bid everyone good night. Although like Lynn said, sleep will not come easily. Tears have been my constant friend today and I need to wind down.
Hugs to all my TDK family, you are all important and needed and loved.
Good Night Terri, see you in my dreams.

  19. Goodnight, Lynn. Beautiful way to start the night shift!

The news of Terri's passing reminds me of how we are all here on a temporary basis. What counts is how we live our lives and the love we share. Terri touched everyone who knew her in countless positive ways. I will miss her here.

    {{hugs}} to John. Godspeed, Terri.

My son and AL82 have gone out of town for a couple of days. I'm going to go feed and play with their kitties--Pumpkin and Nilla. I'll be thinking of Terri's Andy ("Nilla Bean") as I do so. What a wonderful image of him bounding up to greet her at the bridge. It makes me smile.

  21. Here's to Terri~~I'm not Irish, but I've always loved this toast........

May the road rise with you,
    May the wind be always
    at your back,
    May the sun shine warm
    upon your face,
    And rains fall soft
    upon your fields,
    And until we meet again,
    may God keep you
in the hollow of His hand.

  22. Raising a glass of mulled wine to Terri - she was one of the funniest people around on TDK and always made me laugh. I'll miss her.

And also raising a glass to SM and successful surgery for her tomorrow - another hospital theatre is going to be crowded with virtual TDKers peering over the surgeon's shoulder. SM, we promise to make sure the back of your surgical gown is tied tight!

  26. I, too, am raising a glass to Terri. She will be sorely missed on TDK. Although I have been MIA lately, I was shocked to hear of her passing.
We are all here on a visit, biding our time when we will be called to our next stage of our journeys.
Peace be to all who are heartbroken, and especially to John.
And Terri, this one's for you!
