  1. The doors are open. I think tonight would be a great night for another old-fashioned barbeque. Hamburgers on the grill--with bacon or course. How about a medium rare ribeye--or maybe salmon teriyaki...the choice is yours and the grill masters are at the ready. The sides are all here too, boston baked beans, potato salad, pasta salad, and fresh vegetables and fruits galore! The fountains are bubbling with a variety of beverages.

Kittens are stretching and looking for laps to curl up in--or someone to play laser mouse with. So pull up a chair and share you day....

  2. Sounds wonderful! For some reason, I don't make burgers for myself very often, so I will have a cheeseburger with onion. Since this is all virtual, I'll load up on the sides too. Yumm! How did the doctor visit go, SM?

  6. Goodevening, not long finished breakfast and just trying to get warm enough to get my poor body interested in hanging out the washing. It's 4C(39F) outside. If there's a fountain for hot rum I'll have one a glass thanks.
Must go now, back later on people. have a good Night Shift.

  7. Frustrated. Pre-cancerous polyp and I have to do it again. He didn't take all the polyps and now that one has been found have to get them all. I am having another MRI. Tired of this and want it over. Now my stomach is in knots. I have also changed my mind and would like hubby to be home.

Have hired a wait staff to help get burgers out--I love the smell of the flame kissed meat!

  10. SM, sorry about the polyp! Prayers coming fast and furious your way! I am having an MRI myself tomorrow, those are no fun! Hoping your hubby gets to come home soon so that you are not alone in this! Of course you aren't "alone" because you always have us but I understand you wanting him there!

  11. *sticks head round Nightshift door*

G'night chaps, I'm off to bed. Have a good Nightshift - how about a food fight for old times' sake? See you tomorrow!

*ducks the volley of low flying cheeseburgers*

  12. MCW, goodnite! Here, have a piece of bacon! Throws bacon out the door toward MCW!

  13. I am sorry for your frustration and worry...I pray all will be fine! Lean on your husband for support, and know that we all are 'with' you!

  14. I'm not throwing my cheeseburger at you, MCM - it is too good. Maybe I'll throw MC's instead! I'm sorry that you need to have more done SM, but it is always better to be safe than sorry in my opinion.

  15. NNGM! HEY! Don't throw MY CHEESEBURGER out the door! She just got a piece of bacon, not the whole YUMMY burger!

  19. AV it is a papillomas and I guess it damages the connective tissue. That is why I have to go and do this again.

Posted 9 months ago by SoxsMom #

  20. Hi, SM. I hope the doctor gets it all this next time and that no more develop!

  21. {{SM}} Prayers for you. I don't blame you for wanting hubby around, I don't do well when Richard is not here either. He has been gone 3 nights now and has 3 more before he will be home and I don't sleep well when I don't hear the "warthog getting murdered" and I'm not getting crowded by him - you would think I would sleep better with him gone but noooooo!

  22. mmmmmm - bacon cheeseburgers - I just figured out what I'm fixing for dinner tonight!

Posted 9 months ago by KarenCentennial #

  23. Gotta get back to work, but I wanted to check in with the night shift. Glad to see you get it started, SM. :)

I will be back later on. Save a bacon burger for me! MMmmmmmm!

  24. I have been inspired! I emailed my friend Pooh and called Spangle and we are doing a cook out this weekend. Burgers, dogs, pasta salad, watermelon, corn the works! I am bringing the boom box and the icy beverages!

  25. SM, thinking positive that it is benign. I would love a nice new york steak medium with cloves of garlic stuff in it to give it some flavor, a nice well done (outside is crispy) baked potato with lots of butter, vegie medley with lemon/butter sauce, a nice chilled glass of veuve cliquot champagne (maybe a half bottle would be nice) and a nice wedge of chocolate cake (with cream cheese type frosting my Dad's mother use to make). But hey that is for a sit down dinner so instead, please make it a nice fat burger medium with swiss cheese and mushrooms, a side of coleslaw, corn on the cob with olive oil, and a nice ice cream sundae with Sanders fudge sauce. Yum! I am drooling.

Just chatting with MCW on the cafe thread about her trip to the USA. I might be able to swing a visit down to So Cal what with the airfare around $59 each way (total $140 with tax, etc) and a hotel room for around $100 for the night. It is a possibility.

  26. I can't stay long, it's late and I've got a long day tomorrow, but I wanted to drop in to say hi.

SM I hope the doctors get all the polyps next time. It's a real pain (been there, done that, got the T-shirt) but it's better to get it done now.

  27. Oh, I forgot the food, I'll have BBQed lamb steak in a freshly baked white roll with a minty relish please and some sliced tomatoes with basil and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

    Posted 9 months ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  28. Oh MCW, your lamb reminds me of one time when I was over at ex's friend's house (when I was still married to ex) and we had the marinated lamb bbq'ed for dinner. Ex's friend kept feeding us till we were stuffed. OMG was it good.

Going home now. Leaving a few minutes early due to meeting a friend after work. Have a good evening and enjoy your virtual or real dinner. Yum!

Posted 9 months ago by SylvesterMiasMomma #

  29. Okay now I am drooling--I am a lamb lover. Actually my husband points out that if I do love lamb I wouldn't want to eat them. I can't help it--the lamb is tasty!

Posted 9 months ago by SoxsMom #

  30. Hi everyone!!

((SM)) I agree Lamb is tasty..I know they are cute, but darn they are good.
I hope that your next procedure goes smoothly, quickly and all are gotten.

I would love some lamb or a juicy steak with some grilled fat on the edges...
