Please can someone advise me on a natural remedy for feline constipation. I've tried cod liver oil but no improvement - I will keep trying with it though. Since being diagnosed with asthma and starting her meds, miso is only pooping every 3 days. She seems sluggish in herself, but I'm putting that down to the mucous in her lungs too - exercise is distressing for her breathing. Also, I just took in a tiny tortie kitten (5 weeks old) and of course this is stressing her a lot - it's only been 24 hours but she is hissing, spitting and clawing at us as well as generally, which is horrible, as she has always been the most loving and affectionate little cat. Poor little mite - everything is going wrong for her, although of course asthma is a much better diagnosis than the originally feared tumor the vet thought he saw on the x-ray. Oh, and the vet who prescribed miso's steroids, anti-inflammatories and anti-parasite says that these meds do not cause constipation. I did change her litter too, because I think it might have been a trigger for the respiratory issues, but she is peeing in the tray, and pooping every 3rd day, so I don't think she minds the new stuff.
I wonder has anyone had any success in treating asthma homeopathically too?
