  1. {{{Karen and Richard}}} Sounds like he really needs to come home to you, Karen.

It is rainy and gray here today and George was being a brat and playing "let's bite mommy" this morning, argh.

Hubby and I are working on going through all our photo negatives to decide what we want to have put on CDs; it's been fun because I've gotten to see lots of old pictures of him with his daughters when they were little. I always say that no matter what that man gets up to, he can always say that his kids love him and they love each other, and that speaks volumes.

  10. Good morning, seems like everyone is in a fine mood today. New kitties either on-board or coming soon :) I have had the surprise of 3 young kittens in my backyard that are about 6-7 weeks old, little tabbies all grey with one almost a black/grey and pretty blue eyes. Their mama is the little tuxie that I have been feeding, I thought she had lost them. Well got to do something constructive today, have what feels like a spike in the middle of my head right now but can't give in to it.

  11. Sorry your head's hurting, Deb. Yay for new kitties, though! Hope mamma takes good care of them.

  12. Richard is in the air, in 3 hours he will be landing at the Denver airport, and he said he will call me when he has his luggage so I can leave to pick him up. I told him earlier that he should take a nap this afternoon. He has plans tomorrow to go to the Denver Broncos Fan Fair with a friend - get Broncos autographs, meet the new players, say Hi to the other players, and of course, flirt with the cheerleaders. He and his friend have done this around 7 years now, taking the kids with them when they wanted to go. Our youngest son said a few years ago that " Dad and Glen embarrassed them" with some joking around with some other people they ran into and he wasn't too sure he wanted to go again. Apparently he wasn't too embarrassed because he went the next year. I have some things to do around the house before Richard gets here so I will check in before I leave.

  13. KC, isn't it funny how we go thru stages where our parents "embarrass" us! I hope Richard gets home soon and make him take that nap!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  14. I'll get him into bed one way or another - but I don't know how fast I'll get him to sleep!

Posted 2 years ago by KarenCentennial #

  15. KC, I remember the days of my kids being embarrassed by hubs and I, and now my granddaughter is just starting to worry about us embarrassing her! LOL!
MC, is Mr. Monkey still in one piece? Either the girls will decide they love him or one day you will find him torn to shreds and stashed somewhere...LOLLOL. I can imagine them planning all sorts of ways to make Mr. Monkey disappear :)))

  16. Then yes, the kitten will probably come with those papers.

Posted 2 years ago by Catfancier #

  17. Morning everyone. I could do with a couple of donuts and a latte!. Getting caught up on some back projects at work, while my boss is out of town.

CF, I can't wait to hear which kitten you come home with. Boy or girls, seal or blue. So exciting! Ange, so glad that Mystie is home and settling in. If you can get the card out of the camera you can take it to walgreens or anyplace with one of those photo booth thinkies and get the pictures printed and transferred to a CD. Depending on your card there are probably several models of camera that will read the card.

  18. Mr. Monkey is still in one piece. Betty tried to give him a "bath" just yesterday! I think she thinks he is a "special" kind of kitty!

  24. Good morning all. Woken up at 2:30am this morning to some loud guy coming in to the front door. This guy is always loud and I had to get out of bed and through my open window, gently say, we are trying to sleep here. I was having this really neat dream and because of being woken up, it is gone now. I am going to ask the property manager if she is willing to put up a notice to ask people to lower their voices when in the courtyard after 10pm and before 9am. I have a feeling she is going to say no as no one enforces the so called house rules that we all sign in our leases. Growl!!

So I am drinking a mickey dee's iced coffee in hopes it keeps me awake till 2pm as that is when I plan to leave for the day.

Good luck AV with the house showing. Gallo and Georgie, be nice..no biting! I have the maine coone kitty cam up and heard some meows. The momma is a silver beauty! I also found a hummingbird cam. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/Hummingbird-Nest-Cam
I believe it is the baby and is about ready to learn to fly. Apparently it fell out of the nest yesterday and was put back in by his human watchers. They said he was okay. He is testing his wings right now.

  25. Finally Friday! What a long week. Dreary rainy cold day here today. My computer is fixed and back though so that's good news. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and weekend

Posted 2 years ago by gini #

  26. SMM - Thanks for the hummingbird link - I will have to make sure I show that to Richard later today. We love the little hummers! I am just waiting for my call from him so I can go pick him up - his plane should land in the next 5 or so minutes. I'll talk to everyone later today.

Posted 2 years ago by KarenCentennial #

  27. I'm glad your computer is fixed, Gini. And I agree, dreary rainy cold about sums it up here in the Big Apple today.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  28. Kilroy, the mama kitty brings them out late at night or early morning so far to drink water and munch a bit on the dry food. Its been so hot here, in the upper 90's she hasn't brought them out much during the heat of the day. I have two water dishes on the back patio and change it for fresh water at least daily and sometimes twice a day so its cool for any of the critters out there (birds, lizards, grown cats, and now kittens).

  29. I am watching the hummingbird cam and this little bird is so active. He keeps sticking his tongue out at the nearby branch so I am thinking he must be eating bugs. He is so cute and I am worrying about him. I did see a parent hummingbird come feed him about 15 minutes ago. That hummingbird was a beautiful green colored one. He is testing his wings again. I think it wants to fly but is a little scared.

Posted 2 years ago by SylMiaFelixsMomma #

  30. SMM thank you for posting the link to the hummingbird. OMG how sweet. She kept flicking her tiny little tongue out. COA needed!
