  3. Sleep well, Alicia.

I probably should get going, too. I'm trying to free space up on my computer, and I think it would go faster if I didn't have 4 windows or so open.

  5. Night Alicia and Catherine--sleep well.

Daughter just finished packing! I think they should make it an Olympic sport! I hope she has everything! If she doesn't she will have to get by. Her pounds where ordered last Friday and will arrive on Tuesday. She is also packed for Journalism camp that starts tomorrow through Wednesday. She is home Thursday and then we take her to the airport for her big adventure! She is writing in her journal right now. They are required to keep a journal. She is almost ready! I am not handling this very well at all. She will be so far away.

  6. ... SM!..... are there any TDKer's where she's going, I'm sure they would "keep an eye out" for her!.... my brain might be fuzzy, but wasn't she going to the UK?

  7. Sox's Mom, what is her itinerary? I bet she will have the most wonderful time! What is she most looking forward to seeing? Is she going to Paris at all? The museums and art galleries in London are just SO magnificent!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  8. She will be in England, then to Wales for a few days, then Ireland for 6 days, and finally on to Scotland. I am ready for her to go in my head, just not so good in the heart. What she is looking forward to the most is her visit to Ireland. She will be living with a family there. She is also looking forward to Scotland--Loch Ness.

  9. Oh how lovely! I hope she sees the monster (which I still steadfastly believe in!). She'll only be an email away and I'm sure she'll have a wonderful, wonderful time. I look forward to hearing ALL about it! Does she know exactly which cities and parts of the country she'll be visiting? I never got to Dublin and Edinburgh (yet) but I would SO love to, and Wales is beautiful. And there's just so much to see in England. I hope she gets to some of the beautiful towns, like Stratford upon Avon or Stamford or Warwick or those darling villages in Cornwall... but even if she stays in London, there's so much to see!

  10. She is in London, Warwick, Dublin, Belfast and a bunch of other places I have never heard of!

  11. Oh, oh, she is going to some wonderful places, Sox's Mom, she will have a ball! Warwick Castle is wonderful and Warwick has some beautiful old buildings. And Dublin is supposed to be one of the most unspoilt Georgian cities of all. Tell her to take a gazillion photos!

  12. Wow, SM, your daughter is going to all the countries I have wanted to go to for so long. What a great experience that she is going to remember all her days. I wish I could fit in her luggage. I have a passport.

  13. She wanted to go to Westmeath, there is a little town called Athlone that sits on the Shannon River--it was the home to her father's family many decades ago. She is getting to visit Trinity Colloge though--she dreams of living and studying there. Oh if only I could win a huge lottery!

  14. Time to get some sleep. I have to get up early and make another batch of Shepard's Pie and Soda Bread. I was thinking of making Scottish Tablet, but really don't have time unless I make it now before I sleep. Probably couldn't keep my eyes open as long as it takes to make it.

Good Night and Peace to All!

  16. Hi Deb--sorry about that awful 4 letter word! W*#K is an awful word sometimes! Have a good night though--stay safe, you and all the others. You guys have a very thankless job, but you should be thank daily!

  17. Good night SM. Sweet dreams.

  18. Nighty-night, SM. I know someone who won a post-grad scholarship to Trinity from New Zealand so it must be possible! Sweet dreams -- think of the day when your daughter can show you around Europe! I'm off to think about dinner. Nighty-night SMM, and see you on the flipside, Deb!

  21. hi all again..can't sleep. hubby's here snoring away happily. it feels good to be in the same room for once...never did that dinner out that i was dressed up for, but i did get to touch his face hairs, so it wasn't all worthless. anyhoo.....i'm also trying to do some job searches for the union turnpike region just in case i would need to support us. i'm glad that i wouldn't lose my hubby if things wouldn't work out, but am not thrilled that i'd have to be our breadwinner. however.....life isn't always as we want, and things happen to teach us, so i gotta run with the lesson no matter what. i am happ though that my hubby, auntie n uncle told me that they r holding a bbq next month sum time, and i'm welcome to be here for it. and please keep praying for us that my little act yesterday pans out and we can amange to evade alot of crap. i'm also going to call social security in the morning if i remember and see if they wouldn't help us out with housing and whatnot if need be. i'm getting desperate, but i'm doing to do all i can, and i'm going to try my best not let my hubby or anyone else down. he tries to hide it and act happy, but i know inside this is deeply eating him. but i will never let him down. i would rip my heart out for him if need be. plus, he romised me we could have cats when we found a place. i wont be able to take muffy or chloe with me, they'll have to stay with mum, but i'll definately try to get some more babies to make into family. :)

  22. *Pushes door open gently, sounds of little kitties snoring rise and fall on the air. One or two lazily lift their head, blink, then stretch and settle back down again as I tiptoe in.*

    Hulloooooooooooooo? Anybody around?

  23. Slipping away to tidy the kitchen and chase Libby round the house, will look in again before I go to bed :)

  24. Jcat! You still there?

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  25. Blowmedown, MS, I hadn't even moved from my chair yet. You're speedy!

    How was your day?

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  26. I just came back online, my day was great. Meegz and BF invaded for brekky then a group of Mr MS's mates and wives and GF's spent the afternoon celebrating a friends' 50th birthday. We played 6 aside darts and then table tennis. What hilarity we had.

  27. That sounds lovely. I had a very quiet day as I have had a stinking cold for the past few days and actually today was the first day I could drag myself out of bed. I have been mostly tidying :( Not the funnest job in the world but all I could seem to manage...

Libs decided if I wasn't going to chase her through the house, I jolly well had to cuddle her so I have been combing her, she loves that, squirms all over the floor!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  28. Grrrrr, stinking cold, leave Jcat alone now. Shadz loves being combed too. Today she went wild and climbed a large shrub right to the wobbly top branches and hopped to other branches while I held my breath, hoping she would make it and not crash through to the ground. It's been ages since she has been up a tree or shrub. I think she was showing off for Meegz.
Tidying up, yeah real fun . . NOT! Hope your cold improves rapidly.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  29. Thanks, MS, it's well on the mend. Awww, Shadz, were you showing off for your sister? I don't think Jasper's ever been up a tree, the podge, tee hee, but Libby skips up them (to hunt birds of course, naughty girl).

Has KK recovered from her night on the tiles yet, have you heard?

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  30. Haven't heard coooeee from her today so I think she must have been lying low and building up strength for work tomorrow. She sounded a bit fragile yesterday.
