  2. Thanks, Kilroy!

Kilroy, Bobby's favorite show to watch is Meerkat Manor - maybe you need to find that for Georgie :)

  3. Hi, All! I've been spending most of my time this weekend with Richard, helping sort out some of his brother's belongings that he had shipped here while he was in Orlando. Yesterday he took most of the day off to spend with a good friend at the Bronco's Fan Fair. I know he needed to get away from the real world for a while and he seemed to have had a good time.
CM - I agree with WWM - it sounds like you were having a migraine episode to me - it is almost exactly like mine would be - and I am lucky not to have them on a regular basis. Certain foods trigger them so if you have more like that try to pay attention to what you had eaten previous to the episode.
M2MC - I haven't a clue how to view your new baby Mystie - help? I really want to see her and Max, too!

  4. Hopefully I won't have those awful headache episodes again!

  5. Afternoon everyone!..... we got up early this morning and went to church, then out to lunch. From there we took daughter out to that HUGE new store, IKEA - what a mind boggleing place!... it's so large, it's like an amusement park, that sells EVERYTHING - CHEAP!..... got a lot of good stuff for her college dorm room, three weeks from now - as soon as we get back from Dominican Republic!......

.......wonders how WWM can quilt with all those feathers Windi and Willow spread out for me.....hmmmmmmmmm

  6. Isn't IKEA great?!? You can definitely stock your daughter's dorm room cheaply there. I got my big bed and mattress there, it's like heaven!

  7. Just put another new collar on Garbo. Goodness knows where she dumped the last one. She's going potty now because she hates it. After an hour or so she'll be used to it and forget all about it.

  8. MC, I was overwhelmed when I stepped in side..... why I could spend DAYS in just the kitchen secion alone!...... PM, my little Milo (rainbow) bridge lost about 10 collars the first 3 mos. we had him, so I finally gave up and had him micro chipped!...... We called him Houdini!.....

  9. AV, you need to get their ice cream cones! They are really cheap and they are delicious! I always get one to eat while I shop!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  10. The girls are both micro-chipped but they need the collars to hold the magnets so that they can get in through the cat flaps.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  11. Oh no girls! Gotta wear the collars!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  12. I've used a different design of collar now, so they should find it more difficult to ditch them.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  13. at least they let you put them on, my girls will have nothing to do with collars!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  14. Once I've caught them they cannot escape until I've got the collar on them. They are not happy about it, but they are only little and I'm a big nasty hooman!

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  15. You big nasty HOOMAN! Bad Hooman! LOL

  16. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I bite too. ;-)

  17. Poor Garbo! So upset she's going potty? :)

My friend just called to see if I wanted to meet at Panera since we missed yesterday. I'm off!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  18. She's settled down now and completely forgotten about it. Silly girl.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  19. See, if my girls had that attitude they wouldn't be so upset with this mean HOOMAN! GD, have a Tomato Mozzarella Salad for me! PLEASE!

  20. Just watching a programme about NZ. I must go there - soon.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  21. LOL *Hoonman*.... well hopefully your girls are young enough to get used to their collars.... poor Milo never did!.... My girls now, Cuddles and Abby are so used to their collars, they feel "jaybird" without them! LOL.... they wear them proudly like a necklace!.....

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  22. Garbo seems to have forgotten about it already. Hepburn has been wearing her latest one for 10 days now and never seems to notice it.

They each have a magnet attached and if I can only get them to use the cat flaps they will be able to go outside whenever they want. Garbo desperately wants to go out, but she seems unable to understand the principle of a cat flap. She just sists beside it and looks at it if the door is shut. *sigh*

  23. Okay, now in my area of Colorado - we just had some severe weather - we could see a funnel cloud from our back yard - it touched down about a mile and 1/2 half away from us - some houses damaged, electrical wires down, some hail larger than golf balls. Supposedly a car flipped at the nearby mall, and I hope no one was seriously injured. We are okay, got some of the large hail stones in the freezer.

  24. Glad you are OK KC. It must be so frightening when you see a tornado heading your way. I hope no-one was badly hurt in your area.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  25. How large are the large hailstones? The largest we get are about the size of golfballs, but that's fairly rare.

  26. *pops back in briefly to wave!!!*

MC, I have a friend that I've made a couple of quilts for. I sent her my blog site recently so that she could see some of my latest. And what did she zero in on??? Maddie's "Pooh" quilt. She loves Winnie the Pooh and said that she was "coveting Maddie's quilt". So I ordered several different pieces of Winnie the Pooh fabric and I'm making her a "big girl" Pooh quilt. I think that it will be cute.

It's 100 degrees here this afternoon so I must go out in the backyard and water my plants. Whenever I step foot out there the turtles come running, so I guess I'll make a "melon run".

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  27. PM - the hailstones are not quite as large as a lemon - somewhat oblong/oval like an egg - they are the biggest ones I have ever seen - mostly we get pea to marble size stones here but would get so much that it looked like we had snow in the yard - todays were large but not nearly as many. Poor Buddy and Leela didn't know what to think about - it sounded like someone was banging on the roof - John and one of his friends were out in the garage with the cats before it started so they were able to keep them calm. Leela found herself a nice place to hide and Buddy was looking up at the ceiling and pacing until John told him it would be okay, just come here and sit down. I'm pretty sure we won't get Leela to go outside again for awhile. Buddy will be ready to go anytime we open the door. According to the news the tornado was 3/4 mile wide and was on the ground for about 11 miles - seeing how close it did touch down, we were lucky. I heard of only one injury so far - a broken collar bone - lots of windows out, some roof damage, power lines down, a JCPenney and a Lowe's had some damage done. One of the pizza shops at the mall had 2 walls blown out - I really am surprised that more people weren't injured with all the glass blown out. This is not the first tornado we have seen here - about 5 years ago, after picking up the boys after school, driving down our street I looked in the rear view mirror and saw a tornado. We rushed the rest of the way home and got in the basement. It jumped the road and went a few more miles and hit a brand new elementary school - not opened yet, just finished that week. It delayed opening for 2 months.

  28. KC, glad you are ok!

  29. Hi, all, just popping in to wave hullo. *Waves frantically to all*

Karen, that sounds really scary. I can't imagine how frightening it must be to have a tornado chasing you up the street. Yikes! Earthquakes are bad enough but at least you can't see them coming! WWM, I am in awe of how you make so many of your beautiful quilts to give away. How can you bear to let them go? MC, how is your recovery going? You sound fabulous. PM, yes, you MUST come to NZ soon, we would love to see you. (Just don't greet the customs officers with Baaaaaaaaaa. They might look at you a little oddly.) I have had to teach all of my cats how to use the cat flap but after shoving their head through a few times (gently) and also putting them on one side and putting food on the other and calling them and opening the flap for them, they seem to get it pretty quickly. Have never had a magnetic one though...

CM, I think the others are right, that sounds like a migraine. I get them very very occasionally (about once a year) when I'm really stressed out and I don't get the visual disturbances (my father gets the classic visual disturbances but he no longer gets the headaches, which is good!) but otherwise they sound just like what you described. Afterwards I always kind of feel 'wiped clean and fresh' -- kind of like a computer that's been rebooted...

  30. That's what it must have been because I did feel great when I woke up. Like you said, wiped clean. Man it was bad.
