  1. I will start night shift tonight, since there seems to be many out of town!! The fountain is flowing with wonderful drinks for all to sample. I cooked on the grill and am giving up plates of chicken wings, mini burgers, ribs, potato salad and macaroni salad, and all the fixings for the above food! Come and enjoy, and grab a kitty who is wondering around the house. They need love too as well as our bellies!

  2. Wow, we just finished dinner and it was Mr. WWM's night to cook. But that all sounds so good! Maybe I'll just take a kitty cuddle since tomorrow is yet another gym day.

Evening to all! It's been a quiet day in TDK land. I've been upstairs sewing and watching Food network television. It passes the time and is something to listen to while I sew.

Getting my gym stuff together for tomorrow's 5:00 am alarm. Yuck!

So how is everyone this evening?

  3. Hi Lynn and WWM..all quiet here :) Maddie is over grandma's and Abbie is hopefully down for the night. Just doing some last minute things before I too hit the hay.

So I read that Maddie's Pooh quilt was the rage today :)

  4. WWm, hello, glad that you had a good day sewing and watching Food TV. It's what's on in my house over the weekend. Wow, 5 am, I am impressed, you are a better woman than me!! Do some crunches for me!!

  5. Hey, CM, how are you? Glad that Maddie is over at grandma's, hope she is having a wonderful time, and hope Abbie sleeps well. Hope you get some rest, talk soon.

  6. Hey everyone!... watching the "Next Food Network Star"..... somehow, can't seem to get into this season!.... I like Top Chef sooooo much better!....

CM - glad Grandma is having Maddie for the night!.... maybe you can get some rest and "recoup"......

....Hi Lynn!hope you night is going well!

  7. CM, of all of the quilts that she could have zeroed in on, it was Maddie's Pooh quilt. So what I'm doing is piecing each block with a fabric or two of Pooh fabric mixed with batiks and plain fabric. I hope to tie it all together with the sashing and the border fabric. I can't believe that's the one that she fell in love with!!! I have six "Pooh" blocks done so far. I may mix in some plain blocks of just Pooh fabric. Otherwise, I don't know what I'll do with my now rather impressive collection of Pooh fabric! It's been fun to work on, though.

I go to the gym at 6:00 am (which means setting the alarm at 5:00 am) because my best friend and gym buddy has to go at that time. Although, I cannot figure out why I am there at 5:50 am and already on a cardio machine and she shows up at 6:25 am. I guess I am a glutton for punishment.

  8. WWM works out for all of us. :) Hi AV! Grandma had Maddie all day and let her spend the night so it was nice not to have to keep up with a toddler today. I hope Abbie sleeps through the night so I get some awesome sleep.
I am so much better than last night. That must have been a migraine I had(see the cafe for description) but today I was fine. We got some things done around the house and just relaxed. Abbie got some quality time which she needed.
Hugs to all, I am off to bed. Almost 10pm and I need my beauty sleep :)

  10. Hi AV, I have it on tape, will watch it tomorrow night after work. I like watching it, but they seem to get it wrong every year. The one I would like to see on tv, never wins!! Must be me! But not too many of them make it, so may not be me! Night is going well, thanks for asking.

Cm, you having migranes again? What is going on with that? I worry about this.

Posted 9 months ago by Lynn from PA 6/8 #

  11. Night night WWM, don't fall off the horse!! Sweet dreams to you as well, dear lady, see you soon.

  12. This is the first one in a long long time..I didn't even think that's what it could be. I thought food poisoning, but now that WWM and jcat spoke on the matter it makes sense that it was a migraine..yuck.
    No worries Lynn :)

    Night all

Posted 9 months ago by cricketsmama #

  13. Cm, glad the migrane eased for you, and you are beautiful, with or without your sleep!! Have a great night, a restful sleep and see you soon.

  14. Well, I am off to bed as well, I hope that others will come join in and let us know how their weekends went.

So until I see you again, may the angels kiss you gently while you sleep.

Sleep well and safe, with much love, mama Lynn

  15. Yep, CM, I have to agree, food poising takes much longer to manifest!... Unfortunately I've had it , and tho no fun! has taken much longer to "show" it's ugly head..... Hubbs suffers with migraines, and much more like said, reacts like you described!.... Huggs and I hope you get some rest!....

  17. After a weekend of listening to crying screaming children in my apartment complex and people talking loudly in the complex in the early hours of the morning or all during the day (so my naps were interupted), I am ready to go to work even if I don't like my job much.

I so need to find a new place to live that is a small complex of only one bedroom units with no people who have children and no smoking allowed but unfortunately cannot move due to finances.

I left a note to the property manager asking her to find me a third floor unit in the back of the complex. Oh I wish I had said yes to unit 328 the moment I saw the inside of it back in January. One can only hope that something will open up in the coming months.

I cannot continue living in my current unit with all the noise. I was woken up at 8am on Sat and 7:30am on Sunday by the upstairs neighbors. I like to sleep in till at least 9am. I was woken up during my afternoon naps both days so I don't feel rested and relaxed like I usually feel by Sunday evening. I will be ready for bed by 9:30pm instead of my usual 11pm on Sundays.

Sorry to whine but after this kind of weekend, feeling full of frustration. I need a vacation from life after this past weekend. I am going to go take a shower and hopefully feel better.

Hope everyone else had a good weekend.

  18. Had a sad weekend! Watched "The boy in striped pajamas" followed by "Valkerie" wierd 2 Nazi movies in a row, was not intended. What trajic stories they both are. Really makes you stop and think.

Sorry SylvestersMM about your appartment conditions, that really sucks!!! :(

    Posted 9 months ago by ~*~Rav's Mom~*~ #

  19. Oh Kitty Trio. Those are both sad stories. I heard the boy in the striped pajamas was originally thought to be a true story but later was said to have been made up. WWII was a horrific event. I have family who experienced it in Germany first hand. My parents went to see Valkrie because of where they were filming it.

  21. Night Cheri :)

On a note on the kitties, We are definantly keeping Nox, and Rav is on the boarderline...Chev has started to warm up and be less evil acting...but we still want to find her a home for sure. Rav is my lap buddy, he climbs my pants leg with his needle sharp claws and perches with me when I am doing anything at the comp or playing the guitar. =^.^=

  23. Night, Ange, smooch those adorable beautiful babies for me!

  24. Hi, JCat, KT, Ange, SMM and anyone else who is lurking! I had an awesome visit today with my nine-year-old niece (my brother's daughter) who has been adopted by a family in Alaska. She came to Oregon with her adoptive mom to visit relatives. (This was a very troubling family situation before the adoption. Her mother died of alcoholism at age 37 and her dad/my brother couldn't figure out how to parent her. At one point hubby and I had her living with us for three months.) She now looks and behaves wonderfully. She seems very happy although much work needs to be done to help her with her ability to bond with others.

  25. Hi, KW, I'm just looking in before dinner (can't stay away from this place, lol). Sounds like you had a wonderful time today and that your neice is doing really really well, I'm so glad. That must have been a very difficult situation for your brother. It's cool that her adoptive family brings her to visit her rellies, even though they live so far away (Alaska, wow). How hard it must have been for her to have an alcoholic mum and then to lose her so early, I can't imagine. Some kids have such difficult lives, it breaks your heart.
