  1. I signed. I hope the judge throws the book at her. She deserves that and more.

  2. I signed also Dee. I hope our TDK community will get behind this. At 17 years old she knew full well what she was doing and absolutely should be tried as an adult and get the maximum sentence and then some.

  3. Serial killers start this way, if she is not convicted as an adult and receive serious intervention it is only a matter of time before she kills a human. She likes to torture--she deserves no less than what she did. Being a civilized society that will not happen, so she should be tried as an adult and be given the maximum sentence the law allows.

  4. Ok, I had to go throw up.

  5. Me too PJ. I am just sick at what happened to the poor defenseless kitten. OMG! I shouldn't have clicked on this. I should have known better. OMG!!!!

  6. *just walks away in anger... trying to keep her self control while muttering to herself .. "if I could get my hands on that sorry excuse for a human being..." .. stops to wipe the tears from her eyes*

  7. I signed the petition, the story made me cry.

  8. I am praying that all of you signed this petition. It isn't enough to just be sickened or to be angry. Until the people of the country stand up against those that abuse and mutilate animals, the laws will be what they are--weak. They are willing to let her go as a juvenile offender. Her record with be wiped clean. How long before another is tortured in the same manner. Use the illness and anger and sign the petition. Tell the governmental officials that this girl needs to be tried as an adult, and she needs to be given the maximum sentence.

  10. The only difference between this little creep and a serial killer is time. Add that to the mix.

    Then, sign the petition.

I hope the Wolf gets her.

  12. I second that AMEN! I signed.

  13. Signed with a personal message. I agree with Soxmom - you are looking at a potential murderer of humans here. Many killers start their careers with small animals. Which in itself should be severely punished. She clearly needs long-term help.

  14. I signed it last night and left a personal note too. Thinking very unfluffy thoughts about this so called piece of pond scum (not worthy of the title of human for what she did).

  15. How about those comments, eh?

Look I don't like being unfluffy....so I'll just check out for awhile. Be back eventually.

  16. The kitten is now with the Wolf of Gubbio. That is the only consolation I can think of now. I am still shaking.

  17. Signed! After I got control of myself enuf to type!!! Poor baby kitten! What is the Wolf of Gubbio?

  18. Classic sociopath. This young woman needs to be locked away in a place for the criminally insane. If they don't stop her now, her next steps will lead her to killing a person.

  19. Did you read the comments? People like this make me ashamed to be black. I LOVE animals; if some of those posters of the n-word comments ever saw me or another black person (including the president), this person would want all blacks dead. No, I don't condone animal torture, but this child just set black people back at least 200 years.

  20. I signed, but didn't read the article. I knew it would upset me too much. But I could tell from the TDK comments here that it was needed.
Vicki, no need to be ashamed of who you are-you are nothing like that person, and no one should judge you by another's actions. Those who would post the n-word comments are just plain ignorant and racist. They would always find a way to be like that.

  21. NCMom,

Several months ago a small cat named Norman was kicked to death by an angry young man who was furious with his girlfriend.

Many of us believe that when pets die, they go to the Rainbow Bridge to await their humans, and when the human passes, that person goes to the Bridge and is reunited with his or her pet. Then, both of them go to heaven.

Different members of the TDK family have mentioned the Bridge when one of our pets dies, and I imagined that the cats and small animals at the Bridge are guarded by the Wolf of Gubbio. The Wolf was an actual and very savage wolf who was befriended by St. Francis of Assisi, and after his rehabilitation, the Wolf of the small town of Gubbio became friends with the people he had formerly terrorized. This posting is what I wrote when news of Norman surfaced, and when his killer got off, describing the area by the Bridge and the Wolf :

    -----------------------

Norman is playing with Wilbur by a huge oak tree in the Meadow near the Bridge. All this morning they chased each other up and down the great green tree, and Norman's new claws are a delight to him as he grips the bark of the oak.

Shaddo and Bastian run through the tall grass, Mr. Bug herds a litter of young kittens across the lawn, and Mickey and Jazz are curled up for a mid-day nap. Roo walks toward the Brook with Daisy and Bob, stopping to examine every dandelion in the sweet velvet grass.

Butterflies swirl overhead, and the cries of birds are heard high above them. The scent of grass and flowers moves through the air like a many-colored ribbon, and Norman leans against Wilbur. They sleep.

The Wolf of Gubbio stands on a rise of the land, a knoll covered with soft grass, and three dogs lounge at his feet. One of them is a puppy, just recently arrived.

"This is Paradise," murmurs the Wolf to himself.

"How do we get here?" asks the puppy. She was a little afraid of the Wolf when she first came here this morning, but now she trusts him.

"Sometimes accidents happen, dear one, and sometimes those who love us best send us here because our lives have become so painful."

"And sometimes..." the Wolf lowers his voice, and the other two dogs look up.

"Sometimes we are killed," he says.

"What happens to those who sent us to the Bridge?" says the puppy softly. The puppy shivers slightly, and one of the older dogs moves over to her, pulling her close.

The Wolf looks down at the puppy with large soft eyes. "Those who sent us here out of love for us — those we will see again. We will be with them again, and when they come for us, we will go with them beyond the Bridge."

The Wolf looks out over the Meadow.

"St. Francis asked me to stay here and make sure, here in this part of Paradise, that all of the small and frightened ones in life know that they are cherished in death. I wait here for him to come back for me when Time is at an end."

The Wolf bends his mighty head and touches the puppy's nose with his own.

Then, the great Wolf shakes his great shaggy coat, and his golden eyes narrow.

"And those who sent us here in anger, in hatred, unrepentant for their deeds...," the Wolf smiles, and they see his long sharp teeth, and huge red tongue.

    "...they are mine, little puppy...

"...and I take them by another road, to a different gate."

    -----------------------

May the Wolf take that young woman by another road, to a different gate.

  22. Thank you Emma.

  23. Vicki, I agree totally with RW! Please don't say you're ashamed. Those people are just using this as an excuse to show their already underlying hatred. That is their own issue. Lots of ignorant people feeling very brave behind the saftey of their computer. This girl, regardless of her race, obviously has major issues that led up to this and I hope along with the punishment she gets the help that she needs. I agree that 17 is very much old enough for her to know what she was doing and for her to try covering her butt by saying it was just a joke is just salt in the wound. I didn't watch the video, but getting the jist of what happened is plenty enough for me. It's so unthinkable.

  24. If this girl had never been taught that animals deserve to be cared for and treated kindly, then she should be placed in a psychiatric hospital for a very long time. If, however, she just didn't care about living beings in general and animals in particular, then I'll execute her myself.

  25. Vicki, dearest,

You know how to get hold of me. Please let me help.

    Much love,
    Emma

  26. Vicki, this person's (I use the description loosely) shame is not yours nor anyone else's.

Case in point, there is an apocryphal tale my Dad use to tell that there was a soldier (I believe a Sergeant) that the army requested repeatedly that he change his name. He vehemently refused by saying, "I have done nothing to shame the name Adolph Hitler, make that other Sorry S O B change his!"

  27. I signed it with a comment. Vicki, these "people" don't even deserve a comment--they are in the minority.

  28. Jokes should not cause pain. To claim that something painful is a joke is to try to conceal a cruel interior. She's using nice words to cover nasty actions.

    It doesn't work that way.

  29. Emma, thanks for the story of the Wolf of Gubbio, I had never heard it before and it brough tears to my eyes, as did the story of Tiger Lily, the kitten killed by this monstrous girl. Everytime I read the news, it seems like the world is getting so hard and cruel, much more than ever. I guess that is why I cherish my cats so much, they almost never made it here! The thought that I would never have met them chills me. Life is so fragile and to deliberately cause a defenseless animal to suffer so is incomprehensible to me. I see it happening with children too, there has been a story in the local news here about a 55 year old man who shot his 6 year old grandson to death over a WATERMELON for God's sake. It makes me want to just weep when innocence is destroyed...I'm crying as I write this because it's just so SENSELESS. Evil doesn't have a color, nationality or gender, it just IS and there is way too much of it.

Sorry to be so emotional but it just gets to me sometimes and makes it hard to see all the good around me and the blessings I have. All of you here are blessings too, I'm so glad that I have a place to vent! Thanks for listening, I need to go and focus on something positive now....
