  1. I was wondering if anyone elses cats like weird things?
Buster just goes gaagaa over mint tea, and doesn't really care for catnip. Harry loves squash and artichokes.
So anyone else have a cat with odd likes??

  2. Both Pipa and Melon looove Müesly with yogurt... if that isn't odd...

  3. Mia loves anything that is human food except chocolate (which of course would be toxic to her so I am glad she isn't interested).

  4. Baby liked raisins for some obscure reason. She was really upset with her human when the crinkly little droppings turned out to be craisins. Talk about your dirty looks! :)

  6. I used to have a cat that liked lettuce. I had a doberman at the time and would put a bowl of salsd leftovers on the floor. the dog would eat everthing but the lettuce and after waiting patiently for the dog to lick all of the dressing off, the cat would eat the lettuce--dog slime and all--YUK!

  7. oops that would be "salad" leftovers!!!

  8. Sebastian and Huddy both like meat a lot. Huddy will also eat breakfast with me, so I'll fix him a plate with egg, bacon and pieces of toast - he loves it. Strangely enough, none of my cats like tuna or anything seafood. Isn't that weird. Sebastian also loves cheese and ice cream (though not at the same time).

  9. My 18 year old Zasha loves Fritos - don't eat them often but when I do she attacks the bag.
My four 6 month old kittens all are strange eaters. Actually they eat everything, but really love corn, broccoli, pasta and anything I happen to be eating.

  10. This isn't food, but lately Kadie has been getting into my jewelry, he has knocked over all my jewelry boxes and I have been finding pieces of throughout the house. It is starting to drive me insane!

  11. Bobsky likes turkey cold cuts, but not all turkey. He doesn't like Subway's, but likes Jon Smith's and his favorite is Publix turkey. He'll occasionally lick cream cheese from my finger, but other than that he just likes his dry food and Feline Greenies - but only the chicken and the beef flavored ones - no seafood flavors or anything else for my little man.

  12. Last year I was in the hospital over Thanksgiving (missed family dinner, too!) and had my friend looking after Max and Molly. I had a bowl of Hershey's cherry cordial kisses in a bowl on the snack bar and when Gloria came in one day she saw little "things" all over the floor. From a distance, she couldn't tell what they were, but as she got closer she saw that Max had taken all the kisses out of the bowl (I watched him do this at a later time) by the little white paper tab on the top and tossed them all over the floor!
Neither cat opened them or tried to eat them, thank goodness, but Max just got a kick out of playing with them.

  13. My mom's cat loves cantaloupe, and my grandpa's cat loved bananas.

  14. Jiggs likes french fries. My late Taz liked mini-marshmallows. Shaddo wanted to try a marshmallow once, but unfortunately, it had just come out of the woodburner to become part of a smore. He spent the evening licking his paw, as it was a bit burned and also sticky. He's never tried one since!

  15. Cats like banana flavor bcgagnon, and I found this out when I first got Huddy and took him to the vet. Poor little guy was so flea infested they told me he could have died!!! Anyhoo, the doctor comes out with this tube of yellow stuff and Huddy started just tearing it up. They told me it was banana flavored, and it made all of his fleas fall off. I asked them how they knew it was banana flavored and they looked kinda sheepish and told me they had tasted it. Supposedly it's a flavor cats love.

  18. Hi HM... My Sebastian is a very big boy.. he weighs 20 pounds!

  19. My cat Mr Woo is completely obsessed with socks (the longer the better).
He'll pull them out of drawers / from under the bed etc, drag them around the flat in his mouth (funny when he trips over them), & then sit down beside them and howl in a really deep, resonating voice.

Also when we had floating water lillies in our garden pond he would fish them out with his paws & them carry them in his mouth all way back up the garden & bring them in through the cat flap. Over & over again !

    Bless him !

  20. Mr Woo sounds like quite a character! I love the image of the dripping waterlily in his mouth coming in through the cat flap!

  21. caroline, before my Sebastian got so old he weighed in at 22 pounds. (you can see him on Catster in all his beauty)

He's about 15 pounds now. I'll bet all Sebastians are big cats, at least all the ones I've ever seen are!

Sounds like we need a Mr. Woo Cam too!

  22. My Squint loves peanut butter! He will also eat bits of potato chips, crackers, and corn flakes. He likes ice cream too, but peanut butter is his favorite.

  23. My Mini, RIP, was a sock theif too! She would grab a sock in her mouth, drag it all over the house while whinning a sad little whine, then hide them in her "stash". Once a month or so I would have to find the new hiding spot and retreive all of our socks. She would have 30-40 of them at a time.

Mini isn't here with us anymore and now we have no sock problems but, boy what I wouldn't give to have her and missing socks again.

  24. I had a kitty named Pepper who liked pickles, many of my cats have loved angel food cake to the point of attacking it when I wasn't around, opening it and ravaging it leaving me to find a soggy angel food mess on the floor. They love Marshmellows too.

  25. My childhood cat (who came with me when I got married) was named Chairman Meow (he was in loooooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeeeeee) with our black lab- Sandy, and he loved lima beans. He would actually BEG for lima beans. Silly boy

  26. My late cat, Spanky, loved chocolate-covered coconut frozen bars (Dove, maybe?). After I'd eat off the chocolate, he'd sit on the floor with me and lick the coconut ice cream to the point where coconut would be flying! Everytime I'd open the freezer door, that cat went crazy!

  27. I had one cat that loved cough drops. I had to fight to keep him away from them.

    Posted 4 years ago by owlwatcher_974 #

  28. Owlwatcher--it must be something about menthol that some cats love. Spanky loved to lick Carmex off of my lips and he would also lick my toothbrush if I left it on the counter. Strange thing is, Bosley also loves Carmex (almost fights me for it every night!). Bailey, on the other hand, does a really cute gag-thing when she comes near it!
