Good for you, check it out and could your meds be making you retain water?

September last year, Vicki, I think another visit to the dr as a general health check-up may be in order. Just for peace of mind. Yours as well as ours. Try the machine at the pharmacy and if your pressure is higher than normal, please make an appt with your dr. Please.
Hi Lb, how are you tonight?

Relaxing is good, LB, what are you doing to relax?

Sorry was in the tub! Vickie, elevate your feet above your heart so the fluid drains back. Also, try a warm, not hot bath. The salt could be an issue so warm water with lemon in it can flush out extra fluid. Also the compression stockings are a great idea. I am on my feet all day, am 38 and wear them. They are super for keeping fluids out. You might also try doing 30 mins of moderate pace walking to help circulation. Sorry it is the Rehab Director in me coming out!

I tried to switch meds when I got my new psychiatrist (my previous one was going into private practice) because I want to have a child, and the medication I'm on now has an increased risk of unborn children developing heart problems, but she was hesitant to do so; at least I got her to decrease my dosage.

Good advice, MC, hope you had a nice soak! Still have your kittys around??

Some strawberry/rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream and some strong, sweet, creamy coffee, please.
We just had the cable guy in here to see why Gizzy's Uncle's phone stopped working (he has cable, internet and phone from one service). While the guy was running some tests, I heard him say "oh" in a kinda funny voice and he was looking at the line that runs from the phone to the cable box. He held it up to show me the tooth marks on the half-chewed cord. Cable guy (who has five cats -- a momma and four offspring) recognized the problem right away. Seems darling Sophie Dorothea had been exercising her teeth on it.
That cat! She lives to cut rubber bands just once then they lose interest for her and any small, thin cord. I have rubbed everything I can reach with bitter apple, but one of these days she's going to learn the hard way, I'm afraid.

I understand, Vicki, and glad that you are working on having a child. Please just be very careful with your health and seek consultation if you feel things are not right. You need to stay proactive in your health care needs.

OH that is why there has been concern. I am praying you were no where near the incident. Although I fear that if you were anywhere near the mall you were caught up in the action. I had such wonderful visits to DC, and I am very sorry this happened while you are there.

GA, too funny! Guess we found the problem there. Thank God you had an understanding repairman who knows cats and their needs, so to speak. Hope Uncle's problems are fixed! Thanks for the laugh! and hope the cat doesn't have to learn anything the hard way!

Evening, Everyone! Gosh, I must have missed something on the news. Probably because I haven't been watching. So I think I'll go check because now I'm wondering what has happened in Washington, DC?
Vicki, it really could be salt overload and therefore water retention. Push your finger into your ankles where it's swollen. If the indentation of your finger remains when you release the pressure, that's pitting edema and is not good. If no indentation remains, you could just be retaining fluid.

Oh - the shooting at the Holocaust Museum? We used to live outside of The District. Sadly there is something about The District that seems to invite incidents.

Hi all I am back in our room... We were around the area of the museum and had talked about going back to see Daniel's story sometime today but had to rush to get to the state department..for a tour... We saw all the police, starflight, and honestly had no clue of what was going on... we thought that mabe Obama was going out... but one of my son's friends texted him and told him... so now we really relize how blessed we are....We went to the Holocaust Museum on Sunday and it was amazing... the security is very heavy there....

WWM, does that apply to all parts of the body or just ankles?
