  1. Hi guys...my 6 month old baby girl, Akasha, is the light of mine and my husband's lives. I took her in when she was 2 months old and has been a little terrorist. She was suckling and kneading on my blanket and I didn't know why until I read the forum on it. I couldn't sleep in my bed until she was fast asleep. So I recently was given a pet bed from my mom and I recovered it in pink and white satin giving her a bed of her own. I added a fleece baby blanket so she could suckle on that. I had cuddled with it so she would have the smell of me on it and fall to sleep faster...now I cant get her out of it. I do have only one issue...she is very rambunctious...how to I get her to calm down?

  4. How do Akasha and Dejay get along, AM? Kittens do have a lot of energy. She may be starting into the equivalent of her teen years about now. She will settle down more as she gets older. Keep checking back for more comments. Things are pretty slow on TDK over the weekend.

  7. She is a cutie! I have a 14 month old cat--Deuter Bug and he is a bit on the rambuncious side as well. I call him my interior decorator--he does it so well in my home! I now have a 13 week old Basset Hound puppy and that is his new co-captain in the rearranging game. The 2 often are tearing through the house! I am told age will set in and that calms cats. I had him neutered young--thought that would help. In the end I have just grown accustom to them romping through the house--as long and I don't hear crashing and glass breaking I have learned to laugh at the two of them! Enjou Akasha and know that she is a good healthy kitten! Welcome to TDK and don't forget to drop by the Cafe and Night Shift to share your day, and especially stories about Akasha!

  8. Right now Akasha is in her little bed sound asleep with my husband. Its the cutest sight in the world. She loves to terrorize her older sister Dejay and our pug. But when she gets tired she would knead her bed and fall asleep. She has gotten used to bed time being when i turn out the lights. I gave her wet food yesterday as a treat for not breaking anything. Ill post more cuteness soon
