   I was driving in my small town and saw a cat carrying something across the road when I was at a stop sign and thought it was just a mouse. As I kept looking I realized it was a kitten so I turned to see where she was taking it. Then as I slowed down I saw about 10 kittens outside of someones house on the edge of their porch! I was amazed and sad as my boyfriend and I looked at how many there where. The mom was watching us and we finally decided to leave. I want to help but I don't know how long they will stay there and don't know what to do.

   Any advice???

   Well you can stop and see if they feed them? Or if they minded if you feed them and had 1 or 2 when they were bigger. I have several homes on mail route I stop and fill up their bowls and water dish Mon-Fri and the sub does it on Saturday. I even have gone out to a home on a Holiday Monday so they do not go more then a day. But I always stop and ask first. Never go on someones property w/o asking.

   Well you could ask if they were the persons kittens or if the were strays if they weren't the persons you have every right to consult with your parents and have a discussion about helping them or taking them in.
