Yes you can.
If you are disgruntled, you need to become gruntled, therefore you drink your favourite type of gruntling water. Mine's a large dry white wine!

WHATEVER YOU DO-DO NOT SEE A CHIROPRACTOR FOR A BULGING DISC! PLEASE! As a therapist you are definitely better off with Physical Therapy! A chiro could paralyze you by "adjusting" a bulging disc! YIKES! As a therapist I can tell you PT can work wonders for your problem, that is if a doc will write you a prescription! Gentle stretching is necessary on the front of the disc to push the "jelly like" bulging fluid back INTO the area between the disc. It is a gentler treatment and can be very helpful! Please hang in there and know we are all praying for you!

MCW, call around and find a chiropractor that uses a Pro-adjuster or Arthrostim Activator rather than manual manipulation. The Activator is much more precice, doesn't cause the crunching/cracking noise and is gentler on the body, especially in the neck area. Doesn't require twisting your neck around at all, so might be helpful for your pain management.
My Chiropractor uses the Activator and he has a handheld device that he places next to the vertebra that is out of place. He pushes a button and I get three to 5 pulses that rather gently put it back in place. No hyper-extension, no pain, no residual soreness.

Sounds a bit like the thing my sports injury bloke used on me, except he set it to a "programme" of different pulses of varying intensity lasting about 10 minutes. It was "prickly" but not at all painful. I didn't really feel the benefit until about 12 - 14 hours after treatment.

Ah, gruntling water! Very good PM. I think my gruntling water needs to be of the non-alcoholic variety, never much good at holding my drink at the best of times, just one sip of the hard stuff would probably send me dancing on the tables at the moment!
I'm going to do a little research on this, and discuss with my own doctor if things are no better in a month or so. I'm acutely aware that the wrong type of therapy, whilst excellent for condition A can be postively harmful for condition B. But thanks for all thre suggestions, and don't feel I'm ungrateful - just want to evaluate everything very carefully before undergoing anything.

PM, yours sounds like an electric stim sort of thing. This is a physical pulse that gently puts your vertebra back into its proper place. It is very precice and only move the one vertebra or bone at a time. My neck was badly out of place yesterday along with my scapula and several ribs, due to carrying a very heavy purse on a very long (unintended) walk on Sunday with my inlaws. Time to ditch the big purse! Chiro worked one bone at a time until I was back in alignment and one soulder was no longer drooping.

It's wonderful what they can do these days, isn't it KK? I have no idea what my guy used, I only remember he said it cost him £25000 to buy it!

MCW, Gruntling water is whatever liquid you enjoy, it can be H2O or aquavit. It doesn't matter.

I have an electrical stim machine and it works wonders! You just apply it to your skin and turn it on. It does all the work while you do whatever, its about the size of a Walkman (doesn't that make me old????) and fits in your pocket. I don't blame you a bit for checking into all your options!
