The doors are open--there is a cool breeze flowing in from NZ that is meeting the Texas heat--leading to perfect temperature!!! The music is from the islands--direct from AV! The food, well lets just have an old fashion Luau! The pig is on the spit and the pineapple is fresh!

Evening SM, you wouldn't believe what I'm doing at the moment. Airy has nipped out to put her laundry in the drier and left me on a video call listening for the UPS man knocking at her door. If he does I'm to call out that she will be back in a minute. LOL, from the other side of the Pacific. I have my Mum on the phone too in stitches at what we are doing.

What is a cool breeze???? I think that I have forgotten! It was so stinkin' hot here today but it's nothing compared to what tomorrow is supposed to be!
Not here for long. Mr. WWM wants to watch a movie and then maybe early bed because we were gone this weekend and up late last night.
I'd love anything tall and cold!

Good evening, all!
I just had to help one of the interns - she had a BIG problem while preparing to clock out for the day. "Eeeeehm, Charlotte - if I got here at 10 this morning and I stayed til 7, how many hours is that?" I answered 9 and started looking for something to bang my head against when she says "Okay, if I stay til eight, how many hours will that be?"
SM, it's her laptop, she sat it by the door so they could hear me. She is now eating a Nestle's drumstick now and I'm getting all the slurping noises. She's eating it quickly because she didn't get one for J-man and he is due home soon.

Ohhh that sounds good! I know you are breaking out the soup to stay warm as you head toward winter, but here things are heating up! Hubby took me for ice cream on Saturday night for dinner. I was a little lost with daughter gone. It isn't like she hasn't been gone before. But she has never been on a different continent then me. I have a feeling I best get used to this and quick.
I'm heading off to heat my soup and make toast now, it's lunch time.
SM, your daughter is a big girl with her head well set on her shoulders, try not to worry about her. Enjoy this time with just you and hubby. She'll be home before you know it.

Well, thank goodness she's not handling the money, SM. Mostly they clean up and shadow the trainers to learn how to train people.
On Friday the same girl came and asked me for a calculator which I gave her. She sat and kept punching numbers into the thing with a puzzled look on her face. Finally she asks me if I'm good at math. I tell her I'm pretty decent at math and she tells me she's trying to figure out if she has 246 hours left of interning in 6 week so how many hours would she have to work per week. Arrrgh! Now this was before I knew she can't tell time, but I was still shocked. I did the numbers in my head and she couldn't figure it out with a calculator!
One of the trainers was sitting and reviewing a paper she'd written for a class. She told me her teacher had corrected her on the word "recreate". She was surprised to learn that to recreate didn't mean to sleep!!!
I'm starting to worry about my brain cells in this environment!!!!

She did graduate highschool as she's currently in college. Yikes!
Ohhhh, XBF just called to let me know I got a package from Cat Claws. The boys will be so excited - I ordered them their favorite candy cane catnip stick for my birthday! You see, since they can't go shopping for me, the deal is I have to go shopping for them. Hmmmm, somehow doesn't seem fair....
