  1. PK enjoy the rain--I would love some!

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  2. Might have severe storms with the rain tomorrow though. Then it just gonna get hot - mid 90s. Got tail all treated for the night and gonna head to bed here shortly.

  3. Good thoughts are with you PK. Hope the storms aren't bad, but that you get a good deal of rain. It has been so dry here rain is greatly appreciated! Sweet Dreams PK!

  4. SM, lantana is considered a weed here and is an invasive weed in most countries around the Pacific.

It may look pretty but does that outweigh the dark side of it. (breathes like Darth Vader)

  5. That is what I thought. I was trying to wrap my mind around why someone would want to plant it around their house. Thought about it all last night--you know I have an old mind and have to think things over. Now I am just frightened---will the dark side win over....will the world be saved....where the heck is Yoda!!

  6. Ahhhhhhhh, calling me you are SM?

  7. Guess who just knocked on Airy's door!
She's a happy girl now and showing it to me.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  8. Okay now did she let you answer the door MS?? If you did Yoda and answered that would have been a hoot! I bet it is a beautiful machine!

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  9. She answered the door just before I came back on line. It's lovely watching her face while she looks the machine over. She's grinning like a Cheshire cat at the moment.

  10. I'm off to stock up on basic foods now just in case the H1N1 spreads faster than it already is. See you all later on in the NS.

  11. I am glad you get to see her. I appreciate the missing of ones child when they are far away. Airy has been gone a year now isn't it? By the way better to look like the Cheshire Cat than the hooka smoking catapiller!

  12. Has it hit that hard in NZ?? I had no idea it was bad there! Sorry to hear that. MS stay safe--and no kissing of pigs!

  16. Good night, Everyone! Early alarm tomorrow so I am off to bed.

  17. Not even sharing what movie you watched??? Sweet Dreams WWM.

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  18. I watched "The Game Plan" tonight--y'know, The Rock is more than just a set of pecs--the guy can sing a little and can really act. I guess the rasslin' gave him more theatrical training than I thought.

  19. My daughter liked that movie GK. I haven't seen it. How are you this summer? How are the kids doing? Long time no update!

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  20. I had to watch The Closer tonight. I am worried about Kittie. Although it is nice to see a show that is demonstrating the way people connect with pets.

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  21. Wasn't that sweet, SM? I was disappointed that there wasn't a mention of Kitty by the end of the show. Darn it! I was thinking about Kitty more than the kidnap/murder victims! :)

  22. Sorry--my blogging has been pathetic as well. It is the first summer in a dozen years which has not been consumed by swim team. Ladybug is recuperating from several illnesses that plagued her through most of the school year, but she works out at the pool in our complex almost daily. Bear has been accepted to Advanced Theater Arts as an incoming Freshman next school year, and is working with the T/A camp--and he hasn't even started HS yet! Txnavyboy5 (he's probably changed his login by now) works hard nearby and encouraged his sister to get hired there too, which she was--but she hasn't started yet. Life is busy--too busy--but good.

Of course, Baby Sally Semi-Meezer rules it all.

  23. Me too FH! That cat has been such a part of Brenda--one of the things I like about the show. She might be a bit dysfunctional, but she loves that cat. She is one beautiful cat.

  24. The Closer--ugh. I refuse to watch the show because of Kyra Sedgewick's obnoxiously offensive accent. I grew up outside of and influenced by Atlanta--if anyone there ever dared talk like that, it was only to make fun of the way ignorami in Hollywood and New York think we talk. It boils my blood just to see a preview commercial!

  25. I loved how she took Kitty to work with her. I'd definitely do the same thing if I had to. I also loved how understanding her boss was and how helpful he was (although uncomfortable).

    Long time, no see Ginny!

  26. Sorry to hear that Ladybug has had a hard year. I kinda know that feeling though. Daughter had MRSA and it took months and several rounds of antibiotics. She was touch and go there in Oct/Nov. Daughter is doing dual credit at the college and had a had time with her introductory to microbiology. Come to find out it was Advanced Microbiology for medical majors--the D she got is looking a little better.

  27. Good evening all. Hope everyone is doing well. Last night I watched Hell Boy II and the Golden Army last night. Sci-fi stuff which I enjoy. I would have loved to have seen the look on the UPS persons face when a NZ accented voice tells them to wait a moment. That would have been a classic moment! Good night WWM. Sweet dreams. Hi Gatakitty! Sorry to hear Ladybug has had some health issues. Hope she is all better now.

Well, when I got home the mama dove was sitting in the nest which was about 4 hours ago. Now I heard her fly and she was on my balcony railing. Mia was going nuts wanting to get out to the balcony but I had closed the screen door just only 20 minutes ago. So I check the nest to see if dad dove is sitting on the eggs and find it empty. I look down and see the eggs smashed on the ground below. I guess when mama left last night because of a revisit from the calico cat, the eggs were left too long uncovered so mama pushed them out. I wonder if they will try for batch #6 or give up at this point. They say doves have 5-6 batches of eggs and 3-4 actually make it to fly away. This year only two of five made it. Sad but it is part of nature.

  28. I didn't know that she's supposed to be from Georgia, GK. I didn't watch it until my mother kept talking about how good the show is and how it's also comical, at times. I like the grey-haired guy. I'll never forget the episode where he and his partner decided to leave a corpse in a garage to go to a ballgame first! :)

  29. Hubby hates the accent and won't watch it either.

FH I loved that scene! Hubby used to be like that. Now he was out tonight scouring the neighborhood because someone a street over has a missing cat. He thought he had the missing one--he comes to the door and says I have him. I laughed and said take him next door--he had the wrong cat. It was the neighbors.

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  30. Nice of your hubby to help try to find the missing cat, SM. Hope they find it in time.
