Checking to see if Hoover is cooperating yet.
Jadete...we're being ravaged w/heat here. It was 110 on the front porch yesterday. They are expecting the same today. I don't understand how the ferals can handle it,but, they seem to survive it.
I will try to box up the trap & find out what it will cost to ship it. Those traps aren't light in weight,so I may gasp at the price & have to boorow from someone to send it.
I'm also trying to set up an appt. to have my car fixed. As I said before tho, I will let you know what I find out.
Prayers continuing that Hoover stops his galaventing(sp?) & get his furry butt home. -
Hoover, here is hoping you allow yourself to be caught today so that you can get some yummy cheese as well as be safe and be back home where love and your brother are.

I haven't seen him in a few days now. It is a bit cooler here (80's)than it was last week(90's) and less humid, but I still worry about him. I put out water and food for him every day and night but it hasn't been touched since the racoon came. I only hope if he has taken up residence at the house down the road, that they will be able to get close enough to him to grab him. Feral- can the trap somehow be collapsed? It might be easier to mail that way. Still costs the same, but just easier to handle if you know what I mean. Just a thought.

Jadete... when they were sent to me,they were fully erected. I don't think they can be collapsed. They've been stored under the picnic table out back for the last month, but, I plan to pull them out tonight when it cools some. It's 108 in the shade right now & safe to presume it's beyond 110 in the sun which is still beating down on the gazebo under which the traps are. They are in their original boxes, but, I will still have to make a cardboard sleeve for the one I'm sending. I just can't afford to have it done. I came home from town after picking up a chicken. And I now have 11 cents to my name (excluding the $ I have to pay for the car to be repaired.
With the heat we're having, everything seems like it's moving slow motion & I'm so miserable trying to get my things out of here w/Mr. Useless hanging around here. I'm rubbing & squeezing my TDK stone as much as possible in hopes I can get things moving faster than I am. Just want you to know...I still plan to get it to you...I'm a person of my word. :) -
Feral - I looked at my TDK Christmas card list and you are not on it. Please contact me at my email address: jadete_1 at yahoo dot com. Maybe I can send you a check to cover expenses.

Sorry everyone... I've been communicating with Feral via email. She is sending me the trap she used to catch Hopper. Discussing the best way to send it etc. I have also bought a harness and leash for Truman. I'm walking him around to see if Hoover will come out of his hiding place. The people down the road said they will help any way they can. I think when I get the trap, I will bring it to them and instruct them to take up any food after feeding their own cats. That way, if Hoover is hungry, the only food available to him will be inside the trap. Of course, there is always the chance of catching one of their own cats too. If he realizes there is no other food available, maybe he will make his way back here. I still have the trap set up here just in case. It has not been touched since the racoon came.

Just checking to see if Mr. Hoover strolled back home yet. Those d**n stubborn Siamese!! They always think it's greener on the other side of the fence.
Come On Hoover...Truman & your Mama want & need you home now. Surrendering is futile. You must obey.
Positive thoughts stillbeing sent...along w/a trap to Tenn. tomorrow. :)

(((feral))) God bless you for your kindness. Other than my ongoing prayesr to St Francis, I have not followed all the details. Too bad there is no local shelter to lend out a trap . I agree with GD, if this trap caught your stubborn boy ,feral, hopefully it will do the trick here also.
