  5. I was going to suggest leaving a door open, but I see Kykat already suggested it. If you decide on a trap instead, be sure to put something of yours in it so he has your scent to guide him.

  6. Hi Jadete, I am so glad that you saw him. Can you sit outside after work and gently call him? Maybe if you are sitting in a chair or on the ground talking he will come up to you. He probably sensed your excitement. Take that can of tuna with you when you go outside and sit. Good Luck and please keep me posted. I feel like I know Hoover and Truman.

    A few years ago, my wonderful Kitty(that was her name when I got her!) got out of the house. I was going insane, and finally, eight days later, very skinny and very very dirty, she came back.

  10. Jadete...that's great that you've seen him & he's alright.

    IF I may suggest something?...He may be trying to come in the same way he came out. Some cats just aren't very good at using their common sense. So maybe if you opened the window he escaped from & lock his brother in a carrier inside the room,he may hear his brother meowing for him & enter back in the same window. There's a very good chance it will work. You'll want to be prepared of course to close the window up from the outside once he's in.

    I learned alot about how to act like a cat when I was trying all those yrs. to catch Ms. Hissy & Hopper. Cats are tricky,but,us humans have a bigger brain & can outsmart them...eventually. :)

  15. Feral's suggestion sounds great. Also, if you put out a humane trap, don't forget to put something with your scent on it in the trap along with food.

  22. Okay, we got the trap set up. I put it in the same place where I saw him last night. Food and water inside, a blanket with everyones scent covering it up. I sure hope this works. Of course, I may end up catching a skunk or opossum! I will probably lie awake most of the night again. I don't know how much longer I can go without sleep. Its up to Truman to call to his brother now.
