  4. A Hoover sighting!! I am so glad you saw his, it will ease your mind a little. I think the boyfriend must miss Hoover too. Continuing prayers and adding blessing for the larger trap. Hoover--walk in and come home! Prayer of determination and strength to you Jadete!

  8. So cool that he's ok, but I wonder where he's getting his food? Still worth putting up a photo around the area, and asking every one who lives nearby - maybe if he's going somewhere regularly to eat, they can trap him for you....

  11. Good news to read that Hoover is at least staying close by. I hope he's not syauing away because of an intact female somewhere. It could take longer to catch him then. Since he ran across the street...could you possibly set the trap up in a bush there. Would your neighbors mind you doing that,if you have neighbors there? I know I had much better luck when I could camophlage the trap or mesh it right into the scenery where it was sitting. Then putting their absolutely favorite yum yum tied into the trap.
    One thing tho...in order to have the chicken or hot dog (or whatever else you tie to the back of the trap) work,it's best that you put nothing other than a small dish of water on the bottom of the cage. That means no kibble.
    Good Luck Jadete. Hoover may not be quite ready to come home,but, aty least he knows where his brother is & conrinues to stay close.

  12. I'm so glad you saw him. Is it possible that the neighbour is feeding him? If someone thinks he's a stray and is feeding him, he's less likely to want to enter the trap.

    When you do put the new one out, maybe you could drape a blanket or sheet from your bed. If it's not washed so it smells like you, he might think the trap is just the bed he's use to hiding under.

  15. I talked with my mail carrier today. She said a family down the road a ways has cats. They feed them outdoors so he may have gone down there to eat. She told me she would have a look when she delivered their mail. When she came back down this side she said yes she saw him there chilling out under their boat. I grabbed the cat carrier and headed that way. I saw 3 cats and none of them were Hoover. I talked with them and their neighbors and they all said they would look out for him. One even said he also has a cage and if he can catch Hoover he would bring him home to me. Thank God for nice neighbors!! Oh and I have changed my avatar to Hoover so you can all see what he looks like.

  19. Annie, thats not him. Thats my TallStar. Hoover is a chocolate point Siamese. I just checked the gravatar site again, it said I may have to wait 5-10 min for it to take effect. I'll just wait.

  26. This is great - you're getting warmer. I'm sure this story will have a happy end! And even though Hoover is off with his mates, he checks home regularly. He just can't figure how to get back in to his safe world..
