  4. Morning everyone, woke up because of insistent Patio Mama and her kits making a ruckus at the back patio door.....they wanted to eat! They won't let me near any of them but they do want their proper due when it comes to food, lol. And my crew is just as bad, they kept trying to wake me up to go SEE.

  5. Good luck MCW!! Check in as soon as you can (we'll be waiting).

  6. Hi, Deb, lovely to see you this morning, tee hee, that sounds like cats all right. Love the way when one of them is outside banging to come in, the one inside just HAS to wake you up so that you'll go and let them in. I don't think they would ever believe that we're trying to ignore them and go back to sleep...!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  7. Evening jcat, its too funny the ones inside are harassing me to 'let' the outside ones inside (they were prior outside kitties) and run to and fro until I get up and go 'see' who is out there. Now Mama Patio kitty has her 3 little ones running to the door, of course they run fast as lightning once I start to open the door! Keep telling the inside ones that 2 of them would have to die for others to come inside, don't think they are buying it! Can't be the CRAZY cat lady that my kids think I am not too far from being, they already know I am a sucker for a cute furry face :)

  8. I don't blame them for wanting to come in though, Deb, I would too if I were them, they know where the living's good, awww, three little ones, it's so hard not being able to give them all a home, isn't it? Mind you, once I am home, two is definitely enough for me, they are little troublemakers, bless them!

Okeydoke, my fingers have gone blue, there are two hot water bottles with my name on them and a snuggly bed, lol. Have a great day everyone!

  13. Hi everyone. Crazy morning. I got up at 6..got dressed, made coffee, fed kitties. Both girls up at 7, changed diapers, got them dressed, made breakfast for Maddie, fed bottle and baby food to Abbie. We had to get our windshield repaired since a rock hit it on Wayne's car, so the repair guy came at 8:30 to work on it. So I was in and out with him. Also put Abbie down for a nap, then had to split up 5lbs of hamburger I got last night, do dishes, clean the stove, throw in a load of clothes. Call Wayne to tell him the outcome of the repair, balance the checkbook and now I am finally sitting a while and it's only 10:30am...whew....Maddie wants to go play outside but I told her in a little bit.
    Man..I need a nap...lol

  14. Morning, CM! Wow, I'm exhausted just reading about your morning. How did Wayne like your hair when he got home last night?

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  15. He did..he said it was darker in the pictures..he said I didn't know your hair was that dark..and it's not..but it's hard to find your natural hair color in a dye...so we shall see after a few shampoos.

  16. My brother's three years younger than I am, and he's losing a lot of hair, and what he's got is turning gray. I'm sure it's because of his two rambunctious sons (lol). He swears that I'm dyeing my hair, because he can't see the gray in it. I tell him no, I'm not coloring my hair at all... I yank out the gray (lol). Actually there are gray hairs there, but they're hiding pretty well.

  17. Good morning, Everyone! Could I please have scrambled eggs, hash browns, two English muffins with plum jam and a side of grits? Last night for dinner all I had was about 2 oz of grilled salmon, some steamed broccoli and a salad. Today at the gym I just totally ran out of fuel probably from lack of carbs. And today is the day that two of my gym buddies and I work with a trainer. What did we work on today? Legs, of course! I was dragging by the time I got home and could barely muster up the strength to get out the blender to make my protein drink. I guess that I learned my lessons and I do need some carbs to use as fuel.

I'm exhausted and it's only 10 am!!!!! *slowly melts off of computer chair*

  18. It is after 4pm in the UK. I am just wondering how it is going with MCW. You know wondering is almost worst!

Just think how great your legs look after a work out WWM! Makes it all worth it, and you can go on an extra long bike ride with your hubby!

  20. I am EXHAUSTED. I did not sleep even 5 minutes last night. Mike came down with a 104!!! fever and was convulsing so its been a full time job helping him out. Luckily now its down to 101 but he still hasn't left the bed except to pee once so I am making meals, getting sports drinks, getting medicine, rubbing backs, etc. I am missing school today to help take care of him. I feel so bad and exhausted. I cant even imagine how bad he feels. Keep him in your prayers please

Posted 2 years ago by gini #

  21. My goodness, Gini - do you know what's wrong with him? Was he seen by the dr?

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  22. Gini he probably should see a doctor--especially since he was convulsing. You don't want him to have permanent damage. Has he been in contact with anyone that is sick? Is he in college too? Kid in my classroom went through something similiar and ended up with meningitis. Not trying to be an alarmist, but I sure don't want to see him get worse. Please take care and know that prayers are forth coming!

  23. The nurse in you whipped you off the floor with the thought of a TDKer in trouble. Don't over do it WWM--can't have you under the weather!

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  24. Yes he is in college too but he had a menengitis shot so it shouldnt be that. I ALMOST called 911 last night and I told him if tomorrow he still has a fever or if it gets above 102 again I'm taking him to the doctor no matter what. He's stubborn and doesn't want to go but if it gets really bad again I will make him. It was really scary last night when it was that high and bad. Right now he seems to be alright, I made him lunch and his fever has been staying around 101ish.

Posted 2 years ago by gini #

  25. Gini, my prayers for mike! Have you given him anything to bring the fever down? A soak in a cool tub might help. Keep us posted.

Morning everyone! I am so excited. I just found out that my cousins who live in Florida are going to be in the area and they are going to spend the night on Friday!!!! Looking forward to a good visit with them and their kids! now what to fix for supper.....hmmmmm.

  26. Anything above 104 can have absolutely devistating consequences. Please be very careful! Gini you are confronted with that testosterone driven male! I understand completely. At least he has a great caregiver!

O God of heavenly powers, by the might of your command
you drive away from our bodies all sickness and all infirmity:
Be present in your goodness with your Mike, that his
weakness may be banished and his strength restored; and that,
    his health being renewed, he may bless your holy Name;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

  27. KYKAT you just went to that fabulous farmers market--have anything from there to base your meal around?? I am a fan of kabobs on the grill! I love a nice skewer of meat and veggies roasted on a grill! Accompanied with a nice ice cold beer or wine cooler!

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  28. I really need to become a member of my local farmers market, but it is SO far away from where I live. :(

Posted 2 years ago by Catfancier #

  29. Gini, a fever of 104 is just too high and if Mike seemed to be experiencing convulsions, that is an emergency matter. If his fever drops today and doesn't go above 101, you MIGHT be able to treat him at home. But as a precaution, I would call the doctor and tell the nurse what happened and ask if you should bring him in. I know that men are stubborn, but with all of the illnesses traveling around these days, you just don't want to risk overlooking anything. Plus, it is possible that it's contagious, and you need to know that, too.

Do you have any rubbing alcohol? You can try some alcohol rubs, which sometimes will bring down a fever. And, as KK suggested, a lukewarm bath might help.

I can just imagine how frightened you would have been!
